Then we depart to Barra Sul (The South Neighborhood) where you will visit the Tourist Pier and begin your visit to the Unipraias Park.
It is a cable car that connects the Central Beach to Laranjeiras Beach. This equipment has 47 cable cars that runs 1600 meters (one mile) starting from Barra Sul Station, stopping on the top of the hill at the Mata Atlantica Station to visit the Environmental Park, trails and enjoy spectacular views from its viewpoints. There is not a great deal of history in the area but the beach and the park are very beautiful. The guide was excellent and took us to the park and then drove us back to ship. We stopped at the church but he did not know much about its history.

Many people from Argentina were vacationing since it was still their summer vacation. The tour was fine but we would not chose a cruise that stops in this port.

Our guide who was supposed to speak English in fact had limited comprehension of the English language. He first took us to the fish market and a church in Itajai which were interesting and from that point everything went downhill. Next he took us to the cable car in Camburiu and told us we had to pay for it, I showed him documentation from Viator which showed that it was included in the price. He took photos of the documents and sent them to his Boss who refused to cover the cost, we argued about this for about an hour and finally left. After about another hour his Boss phoned and said he would in fact cover the cost. We headed back to the cable car and then the guide told us that the cable car was closed due to an imminent storm despite the fact that there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The guide turned the van around and took us back to the fish market in Itajai, the same one that we visited in the morning. All in all a waste of time and money.
