At the Galapagos Frontier reserve, we will welcome you with a natural fruit juice. During the tour, we will cross the transition forest of the Galapagos, home to a wide variety of endemic plants and where you can observe giant tortoises in their natural environment. We absolutely loved our visit to Galapagos Frontier. We were lucky to learn about it from someone else on another tour. Our guide, Cesar, was amazing. We could tell that he is so passionate about the Galapagos ecology and we learned so much about the turtles, birds, plants, and history of the islands! Way better than going to the other turtle reserves and just walking around. We also got to see lava tunnels and it was like being on another planet! At one point we all turned off our lights to experience complete silence and darkness- very cool!! And the mandarin juice was so good. We had such a wonderful time and HIGHLY recommend Galapagos Frontier. And it is the closest to Puerto Ayora, only 15 minutes away!BrettP73

I loved the experience! It Is a less popular spot because it's quite recent but that's why i loved It...Cesar, the guide is passionate explaining everything about tortoises, flora and the lava tunnels that are Amazing! I had lunch there and everything was delicious..

Am Vortag war ich auf der Darwin Center und der Aufzuchtstation für die Schildkröten und sah auch den konservierten lonesome George, nun wollte ich auch die großen Schildkröten im Freien beobachten. Da gibt es auf Santa Cruz mehrere Möglichkeiten, viele bieten gleichzeitig auch die Besichtigung v...
Am Vortag war ich auf der Darwin Center und der Aufzuchtstation für die Schildkröten und sah auch den konservierten lonesome George, nun wollte ich auch die großen Schildkröten im Freien beobachten. Da gibt es auf Santa Cruz mehrere Möglichkeiten, viele bieten gleichzeitig auch die Besichtigung von Lavatunneln an. Meine Wahl fiel auf die "Galapagos frontier", die man gut per Rad, Bus oder auch zu Fuß (kleine Wanderung von 7km eine Strecke) von Ayora aus erreichen konnte. Schon auf dem Weg einige Schildkröten zu sehen. Der Rundgang durch die Farm kostete ohne Guide 5$, mit Guide (dann auch einen entfernteren großen Lavatunnel eingeschlossen) 15$ pro Person. Jetzt im September war ich sehr einzige Gast, durfte mich alleine auf dem Gelände bewegen, auch von den Mandarinenbäumen naschen, einem kleinen Lava Tunnel gab es auch noch. Es waren mindestens 15 größere und kleinere Schildkröten zu sehen, viele mehr waren jedoch zur Eiablage unterwegs. Wenn die etwa im November wieder zurück sind, könnten es an die hundert Tiere sein. Der Besitzer und sein momentaner Volunteer waren sehr freundlich und bei einem leckeren Lunch haben wir noch eine Weile geplaudert. Sehr schöner Ausflug! Muchas Gracias!olandasantana
