This was one of the highlights of our tour around Andalusia and the excavations of this archaeological complex provide a wonderful insight into the the Caliphate city, built in the mid-10th century by the Umayyad dynasty as the seat of the Caliphate of Cordoba. Our guide Patricia was amazing and her knowledge ensured we gained the maximum benefit from the visit, with interesting facts explaining each part of the city and its function. She was also charming and very personable. A big thank you to Woow Cordoba for not cancelling the trip when there was just the two of us, something many tour operators would do. A general warning about the heat. It was very hot at midday in March. Any visit during the summer would need to be early or late.Alberto was our guide and he was great, fun and very knowledgeable. He even gave some good restaurant options for dinner later in town!
