If you are looking for a total Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) experience in a day whilst visiting Stavanger then this is the perfect choice for you!
Starting with an amazing cruise from the pier of Strandkaien this cruise shows you the picturesque Lysefjord with an inspiring hike up the mountain.
The cruise sails through unforgettable fjord landscapes of idyllic islands, rocky shores, steep mountains and powerful waterfalls.
During the cruise we will pull up close to Hengjane Falls where you can taste the clear mountain water and see the Vagabond’s Cave of legend.
Then we drop you off at the village of Oanes to take a bus to the Preikestolen trailhead for a hike to the famous plateau.
After hiking back down, you take a bus to the town of Tau to catch the cruise back to Stavanger. Our modern, comfortable boats have sundecks, spacious cabins and kiosks offering refreshments, including beer and wine.
Please bear in mind the Pulpit Rock part does not include a guide, it is a self guided hike.

It is one unforgettable experience. The cruise was great and so was the bus driver. The confirmation email received from Viator said this tour doesn’t include ferry back to Stavanger. It was confusing because there’s no ferry and no bus to Stavanger if you signed up for the hiking trip. We received the tour confirmation email from Viator but it says It’s not a ticket, please contact the local tour operators. It’s very unprofessional! Tho was on Friday night and no one was working and the tour was scheduled for next morning. However, the driver who took us to the Lysefjord after we disembarked the boat offered to take us back to Stavanger even we didn’t have the WR coded ticket,Fuimos con la idea de in “senderismo “ de dificultad” moderada pero nos pareció muy exigente dado el largo recorrido y sobretodo lo dificultoso del camino por lo irregular!

The trip itself was very beautiful. The trip itself was very beautiful. The Information from trip advisor and the company were something else though. Neither were very informative on the bus situation after the hike on getting back to stravanger. I got a text the night before our trip saying they didn't send me the correct tickets and asked me to respond to let them know I actually got them. They also told me I was going to need money for the ferry to get back to stravanger. I got no reply from any of the questions I had asked. Nobody from the trip new exactly how to get back to stravanger almost 50 people. And many were from the cruise ship and had to be back at certain time. They made it with 15 minutes to spare. There was no ferry that we had to take. The bus did take us back. The views were great and the trip was worth it. Just be aware it may be a little stressful getting back to the starting spot and the return spot is not were you left. It's were the busses come in to town.We had to wait more than 2 hours for the bus and it’s not acceptable for that overpriced tour. We had to cancel a very important appointment cause of your mistake and we are still thirsty, hungry and really tired. Thank you!
