First the positives - picked up on time, great van. Guide was knowledgable and spent time with us at Punta Tombo (Marianna I think ) and driver was exceptional (again - I think Adrianna but can't recall - younger woman). The guide, driver and experience ll rate a 5 star review. We absolutely loved Punta Tombo. Because we were a small group (8 friends travelling together) we managed to get off the ship as soon as it docked and beat the ship excursions to Punto Tombo which was great - had the place almost to ourselves - lots of penguins and Guanacos. We had lunch at the Punta Tombo Delistore next to the vistor centre and it was one of the best meals we had throughout our travels in South America. Although it is a long trip and the time for the shore excursion tight, we had plenty of time at the penguins, for lunch and quick visit to the Visitor centre. Now the not so positive - which mostly impacted me as the organiser for a group of 8 (not family - all couples and singles) . Booked this directly and paid a deposit - was asked to pay the remainder in USD but as not from US I had to organise to buy the balance before we left - bit of back and forth re: size of notes but all sorted. Aware that we needed to pay for entrance and meals in peso and had advised the group of this, A couple of days before tour was contacted by Lucia with a reminder of the balance to be paid - higher amount than what was agreed - went back (on Whats App) and Lucia said - oh yes - sorry mistake. There was then lots of messaging back and forth as to whether we wanted box lunches (12 USD or about $20 aud) or a restaurant lunch. We ended up paying $28 USD per person at a restaurant near Punta Tombo - lunch was great but pretty sure the lunch didn't cost that. On the day we arrived I was met by the guide and taken to the bus and then a third gentleman approached me for the money - handed over the money and then was told I was short (wasn't because I had collected from everyone and knew what was there). He then said oh yes - mistake - thought you were doing a different tour. These may all be innocent mistakes and not a major hassle (except when you are traveling with limited data access and trying to coordinate with 7 other people) but just felt we were being squeezed a little. Would recommend sorting out logistics with Lucia well before arrival. We had an excellent tour to Punta Tombo to visit the penguin rookery. We had an excellent tour to Punta Tombo to visit the penguin rookery. Lucia from Sussanich Turismo kept in touch via WhatsApp to ensure we knew exactly what was happening at every stage. The trip to Punta Tombo is quite long (just over 2 hours) but our guide was very informative and provided lots of information about the area. We were provided with a boxed lunch which was very acceptable and we got to see numerous penguins in their natural habitat plus some Whales just off the shore. Our guide also pointed out other wildlife and also had time to include a tour of the town before dropping us back at the port. I can highly recommend Sussanich Turismo and this tour.Excellent excursion- from our cruise with limited time - easy pickup from the cruise port, smaller group of 15 max in an AC very comfortable van and a 2.5hr to/from drive to Penguin area. Excellent excursion- from our cruise with limited time - easy pickup from the cruise port, smaller group of 15 max in an AC very comfortable van and a 2.5hr to/from drive to Penguin area. Our guide was so knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining she provided excellent information along the way and our driver, as well as our guide spotted unique animals along the way and pulled over for us to enjoy. The location was beautiful, the boardwalk easy to navigate, the penguins plentiful plus wild “llamas” everywhere!! Plenty of time to explore the nesting area and viewing the beach and lagoon area! There was a hearty & delicious box lunch and bottled water provided. In the ride back our driver spotted Marras & choique which are hard to fine/see. We enjoyed this excursion.Excelente atención. Estaba en contacto con nosotras cuando lo necesitábamos. Muy buena experiencia.
