Sadly we were not able to go on this tour because of the weather. We had initially booked a full-day but the operator changed it to half-day. A day or two before, they suggested changing it to the afternoon instead of 9am because weather was expected to be better. On the day itself, we were told there was likely to be rain and cloud. So we felt we had no choice as they told us others in the tour had canceled. The operator did offer us alternative dates but we had other tours booked. I think you will need to be very flexible with your dates if you want to do this tour as things change very fast. Unlike a jeep or bus tour, you’re not sheltered in bad weather. However we gave this 4 stars as the operator was transparent all the way and started the refund immediately.Highly recommend this tour! Great way to see the beautiful parts of the area! The guide is passionate and clearly loves what he does. Not only does the guide know the area, is safe and puts safety at the forefront of the tour; he takes pictures for you! Great guy! They will tell you to bring waterproof jacket, warm clothing and the address to meet. Here's some tips: Absolutely bring or wear warm clothing! It gets cold and windy up at the top. If you can squeeze in long johns, do it. And the gloves are a must! your hands are exposed to the wind and cold. Even lightweight gloves will help. The meeting spot is about 15 min from the cruise port. Taxi areas are outside of the port and arrange the cab to come back to the meeting spot to get you back to the ship. Prepare well and enjoy the amazing ride and view! This is a super cool tour and the guide is clearly passionate about this beautiful destination. Do not pass up this tour, the view is breathtaking. This is a super cool tour and the guide is clearly passionate about this beautiful destination. Do not pass up this tour, the view is breathtaking. That said: we came in on a cruise and what they will tell you is to wear gloves, be prepared for changing temperatures and meet at an address about 15 min from the cruise port. Here's my real world tips: the cabs are found at the local taxi areas outside of the cruise port. Make arrangements for the cab to come back, to take you back to the cruise port. The reason they suggest gloves and jacket is because it gets cold and windy! We were there April 26th and it was cold and windy up at the top. Bring gloves, even a light pair will help because your hands are exposed to cold and wind while driving the Quad Bike. If you can sneak in a pair of long johns to wear under a pair of pants or leggings, do it. Bring a coat, not a lightweight jacket...a coat. I layered a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt and raincoat and was glad I did! Do the above and have fun!
