What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Embarcadoiro de Santo Estevo, Encoro de, 32164 Santo Estevo, Ourense, Spain
At the Santo Estevo pier we will take a catamaran that will take us along the Sil River, right on the border between the provinces of Lugo and Ourense. Almost vertical cliffs on its southern slope and vast expanses of terraced vineyards on the north dot an overwhelming landscape. Along the route they will explain curiosities about the history of this area that, due to the excellent quality of its wines, is beginning to be known worldwide. Along the route we will be able to appreciate practically inaccessible vineyard areas, where the winemaking work is carried out completely by hand due to the difficulties involved in using machinery given the steepness of the terrain.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Stop At: Monasterio de San Pedro de Rocas, 32720 Esgos Spain
We will make a guided visit to the Monastery of San Pedro de Rocas. In this monastery you can see a series of anthropomorphic tombs, the facade of the 19th century church, its bell tower and the fountain of San Benito, whose waters are said to be miraculous. This wonderful monastery of San Pedro de Rocas is located on Mount Barbeiro, and is considered the oldest in all of Galicia. We will visit the first settlement, located in a cave, and the 15th century building that currently houses a museum on the history of the monastery, the Ribeira Sacra and the traditional trades of the area.

One of the most spectacular viewpoints in Galicia! With views of the vineyards on the north face of the river, on almost vertical walls and surrounded by native vegetation.
A place that leaves no one indifferent!

The tour had some wonderful stops that gave us great sense of the 4 provinces of Galicia. Unfortunately my fiancé rolled her ankle in a pothole and injured herself quite badly, meaning we couldn’t finish the tour. Our guide, Lucia, couldn’t have been more helpful. She organised a ambulance to collect us and we’re very rapidly whisked away to a local medical centre we’re we saw a doctor in no time. The tour company even organised a 2 hour taxi ride back to our hotel at no expense to us. We were gutted not to finish the tour with our group but we were so impressed and grateful to Lucia and the team. If you take the tour, you will be in very safe hands. Thanks again!La navegación por el río Sil. La gente muy buena, la guía Ana extraordinaria. Aprovecho para destacar al guía Alexis, que fue el de la excursión de Fisterre.
