Stop At: Kerry Bog Village Museum, Glenbeigh Ireland
Kerry Bog Village & Red Fox Inn: The Bog Village gives you a fascinating insight into how people lived and worked in Ireland in the 18th century. The village is the only one of its kind in Europe and is one of Kerry’s leading tourist attractions. (There is a separate charge to tour the village.)
The Red Fox Inn is situated beside the Kerry Bog Village. Their Irish coffees are world-famous and a discount is available to visitors who purchase a ticket for the village
Duration: 40 minutes
Stop At: Carhan Lower, Cahersiveen, Co. Kerry, Ireland
We stop in the town of Cahersiveen which is one of the westernmost towns in Ireland and, therefore, in Europe. It has remained principally a market town throughout the centuries and has never been truly affected by the tourist industry, so it remains one of the more original towns along the Ring of Kerry. One of its many attractions is the Daniel O’Connell Memorial Church, named for one of Ireland’s most important historical figures. O’Connell, often referred to as The Liberator, was born just outside the town in 1775.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Waterville Beach, Waterville Ireland
We make a brief stop in the beautiful village of Waterville which is stunningly situated between the wild Atlantic Ocean and Lough Currane. Uniquely, this is the only village on the Ring of Kerry that is actually right on the coast. Enjoy a walk along the seafront or “Promenade” as the locals call it, where you can taste the salt water in the air.
This is usually our lunch stop.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Ring of Kerry, Ireland
Travel the 180km looped route around the Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the majestic Ring of Kerry. There will be plenty of points to stop and look out over the Atlantic Ocean and the rugged Kerry coastline. Weather permitting you will have a chance to see Skellig Michael, an iconic island located 8 miles off the southwest coast.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Sneem, Sneem, County Kerry
We enjoy a brief stop in the picturesque village of Sneem which is immaculately kept with its traditional buildings, pubs, restaurants and craft shops all painted in an array of beautiful colours. Little wonder it is a past winner of the ‘Tidy Towns of Ireland’ award. A peaceful idyll where no hustle or bustle is allowed.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Ladies' View, 71 Killarney National Park, N, Killarney V93 X376 Ireland
Situated in the Killarney National Park, Ladies View is one of Ireland’s best-known and loved panoramas. Enjoy the magnificent view of the valleys, lakes and mountains, including the Black Valley, Upper and Lower Lakes and some of the Killarney National Park.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Coomakesta Pass, N70 Ring Of Kerry, Waterville Ireland
A stop at the Coomakista Pass is a must. This is one of the most photographed panoramas on the Ring of Kerry and for good reason. Here you will be over 215 metres (700 feet) above the sea with stunning views over Kenmare Bay, Abbey Island, Deenish Island, Scariff Island and much more.

We had the privilege of taking a Dingle & Slea Head Private Tour with Ger, and would highly recommend. Though the 7-hour tour was designed to leave from Killarney, but we were staying in Dingle town and had him pick us up there. He adjusted to the shorter distance by adding some details to the drive around Conor pass and Slea Head. Our main goal for the drive was to get some photo opportunities for my wife. It turns out our driver had some photography background himself, and my wife was able to get a ton of unique and beautiful shots despite some uncooperative weather. There were several times he'd stop on the side of the road and tell my wife, "OK, open the door and look down and left/up and right/etc to get a shot and each time it seemed to lead to her getting something we never would have found on our own. The storytelling, history, and answers to our questions all filled the 7 hours nicely and provided us some great context of the Dingle Peninsula. He showed patience and flexibility throughout the trip, as well, as we dealt with the whims and occasional fits of the 4 year old we had with us. Finally, he helped us sift through many options to find a very nice souvenir for our 8-year old daughter. All of us were happy with the trip. Finally, most importantly, he drove safely and courteously. The Conor Pass was especially foggy and would have been a dangerous drive for me. Our driver was calm and effective at navigating the tricky conditions. Again, would highly recommend. Was at the airport in Dublin flying to Kerry and decided to see if we could book a half day tour the next day and a custom private tour from Muckross Hotel to Cliffs of Moher and then directly back to our accommodations in Dublin. Was at the airport in Dublin flying to Kerry and decided to see if we could book a half day tour the next day and a custom private tour from Muckross Hotel to Cliffs of Moher and then directly back to our accommodations in Dublin. I wasn’t sure if anyone could do it on short notice but I emailed Deirdre at Killarney Executive Tour and she quickly set me up on short notice at a VERY reasonable price in an outstanding vehicle that could comfortably seat 9. There were only 4 of us! Now, I know it’s off season, and it may be different at other times of the year but the service was so outstanding that I am compelled to write this review. Stephen, our guide and driver, was the absolute best. A friendly guy who went out of his way to meet all our needs and we enjoyed spending the time with him. He’s definitely considered a friend now! Highly recommend Stephen and this outfit for any trip you’d like. We rent private drivers in almost every city in Europe we visit and this was a first class experience at a very reasonable price. Our tour and tour guide, Anna, were excellent!
