What to expect
The beauty of the Rio Celeste waterfalls, nestled away in a Costa Rican rainforest, is more than just skin-deep. The unique coloration of the water is due to a fascinating geological phenomenon, where the mingling of minerals in the river creates a chemical reaction that causes the water to turn an intense shade of blue, or celeste.
But you can’t miss the star of the tour! The Rio Celeste sloth sanctuary is home to some of the cutest and most fascinating creatures on the planet.

I’ve been to Costa Rica twice and Claudio is my go-to for transport and tours. He and his girlfriend are fantastic tour guides and have made both trips a great experience for me. He always makes sure you eat well and get the most out of the day. Fantastic animal-spotter and always has deep knoweledge of the animals in various forests. He is a good friend and I’ll continue to use him every time I visit. He’ll even take you on little side quests to get Chorizos or drinks, he’s awesome.Claudio and other guides were very knowledgeable and super friendly. He was always available to communicate with. Very professional and punctual. Most tours are more expensive however they are very reasonable and more personable.
