This tour was incredible! Our guides Yvonne and Kawika went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience! Yvonne welcomed us with plumerias for all of the ladies onboard. We started with breakfast and the day was non-stop fun from there. We got to try kalua pork tacos, sugar cane, huli-huli chicken, banana bread, and more. We went through lava tubes, saw a ton of water falls and black and red sand beaches. It was a fantastic experience and the highlight of an already amazing trip to Maui. Don't miss this tour! Our driver, Travis, was generally good. However, he described beating his children with bamboo, and threatening to abandon them if they called social services. Then, too, on 3 occasions he asked his passengers to endorse his view that Jesus is Lord. His conduct was very inappropriate.

After taking other wonderful excursions through Viator, I booked this one for the Road to Hana, expecting the same quality experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While our driver/guide arrive promptly at our hotel for pickup, the experience quickly went down from there. Starting with not answering questions/providing the details of the day's agenda, escalating to road rage and seriously putting our lives in danger, and topping it off by insulting several guests for chatting among themselves. This was a great day-long activity for the family. This was a great day-long activity for the family. We were driven along the winding road to Hana, with regular stops for restrooms, banana bread, lunch, and beach/waterfall fun. Our friendly guide and driver, Debra, was a fountain of information about the history, life, geography and culture of Maui. Her funny banter throughout the ride was as entertaining as it was enlightening. The only drawback (a minor one) was the vegetarian sandwich for lunch, which could have featured some cooked/grilled veggies rather than just boiled ones. The Hana landscape was incredible and black sand beach beautiful. So much fun. The driver was so much fun and informative
