We went back and forth planning an 11 day road trip down the RN7 and then up the coast to Morondave and Tony collaborated and proved very resourceful. Once set, we deviated little from the itinerary but when needed (a delayed flight) new arrangements were promptly made. His driver and guide, Jack and Angelo, were courteous, discrete and wonderful companions on this trip. That they doubled as guides, mechanics, negotiators and occasionally even as body guards made for smooth sailing in a complicated but truly "Epic" country.Asking money for his entertainment payments and often smoke marijuana and when he drink do not pay for alcohol. He is knowledgeable as a guide, but a sly and disgusting person as a human.

Our family travelled with Tony in Eastern Madagascar for two weeks in Oct 2019. He responded promptly to all of our email inquiries and adjusted the tour to meet our goals. Travelling in Madagascar is not easy. The roads are TERRIBLE, ferry schedules sporadic and sometimes things just don't go as planned. It didn't matter - Tony just told us to let him worry about the details and sent us for a day of snorkelling while he rebooked ferry tickets and arranged alternate accommodation. You can tell that Tony loves his country and we all loved the stories and folklore that we felt gave us an inside view of Malagasy life.I was lucky enough to visit Madagascar in March off season supposed to be raining but the only rain I encountered was obviously in the rain forest. I was lucky enough to visit Madagascar in March off season supposed to be raining but the only rain I encountered was obviously in the rain forest. I hired Tony and his driver Ray who were both very nice guys very respectful and very knowledgeable you can tell that they are passionate about their country. It was easy communication and prompt and even when I changed the trip at the last minute this was efficiently handled. Nothing was a problem. The hotels were chosen by us both in the end through my research and Tony's knowledge the majority were great value and comfort for a good price. There was just the one accommodation where I didn't feel comfortable due to someone attempting to enter my room one night. Which was a tad scary. We did the Morondova trip in March and this was sorted out last minute as it was rainy season but very dry. The countryside was lush green and VAST! I was lucky enough to see the Seefaka lemurs chameleons tortoises and much more plants and wildlife. The journey was very comfortable and the roads at times like a helter skelter! I am so glad I decided the Tony tour rather than by public bus. Them roads are tough and often stuck by lorries! I did the real Madagascar and ate in the Market the good was delicious and very cheap. The coffee is delicious 😋 and the Zebu steaks absolutely tender and very tasty. I found both Tony and Ray to be very helpful and respectful and very trustworthy being a single female traveller this was very important and they both set me at ease before I even met them by out communications beforehand. Thank you so much. Fabulous trip. I fell in love with Madagascar. I WILL be back 👍
