We had a great day with Andrew, who was a very jolly, knowledgable and enthusiastic guide. We visited two chateaus with wine tastings, cycled through the vineyards, mostly very easy off road scenic biking. Great picnic lunch with lovely cheeses, meats, a particularly delicious pesto, and of course wine, and a tour of St Emillion and another tasting in a shop at the end. Lovely relaxing fun day, which we can really recommend. Collected and dropped off in Bordeaux in a nicely air conditioned mini bus!! A great five star day out 🍷🍷🍷🍷😵💫😵💫🥰❤️Fabulous day visiting Saint-Emillion with Andrew. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. Everything was well planned and executed. Fabulous day visiting Saint-Emillion with Andrew. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to. Everything was well planned and executed. The bikes worked fine, the route was beautiful, and the wine tastings were really great. Lunch was delicious and we learned a ton from Andrew about Bordeaux wine. At the end, he took us on a walking tour of the town, which was fantastic! Could not imagine our trip to Bordeaux without this experience.I did this tour yesterday. We booked this activity last minute and it was the best part of our holidays! Both Tim and our guide (sorry don't remember the name!) were amazing. They explained everything and our guide made our bike trip so enjoyable and fun! Definitely recommend it to get to know and understand more about the amazing French wine and the lovely vine yards. Our guide made sure to keep us laughing along the way while telling us every little bit of history/wine information you need. We found out actually he was Saint Emilion's locals favorite tour guide and it's not hard to understand why! The electric bikes guaranteed that we could enjoy our wine without any concerns as well. The picnic was lovely and can't even start to describe the wine :) Lovely little business with amazing people running it!Having found Rustic Vine Tours on TripAdivsor, myself and a friend decided to book the electric bike tour. Having found Rustic Vine Tours on TripAdivsor, myself and a friend decided to book the electric bike tour. Our host Tim was “great craic” as we would say in Ireland, and we were lucky enough to have him to ourselves for the day as we were the only people on the tour. With the weather not on our side, Tim messaged us suggesting we take the bus tour which we did. Upon arrival in Saint-Emilion, we got a small bit of cold sunshine so we’ did take the bikes out for a quick ride of the small village so we got the best of both worlds! Tims knowledge, passion and overall personality was fantastic and we had such a laugh! Both vineyards we visited (Chateau Bonalgue - Pomerol & Chateau Bernateau) were beautiful and the guides informative and friendly! Both Chateaux offered different views and the degustation were varied! We indulged in three tastings in each of the Chateaux with plenty more in between in the Rustic Vines office in Saint Emilion alongside a tasty french lunch. We really enjoyed the offerings and felt like we really learned a lot about Bordeaux wines. The tour itself is tailored for those with no knowledge of wine whatsoever to the true connoisseur! We never felt pressured to purchase and prices were tastefully presented during the degustation. Of course we did purchase some fantastic wines at very reasonable prices and we look forward to sampling them at home. During the tour, we enjoyed seeing how each vineyard differently prepared the vines for the predicted frost. Saint Emilion itself is a beautiful picturesque village and we got a bit of history lesson on our tour also! Tim appears to be a very welcome and well-know character in the village! Upon arrival back to Bordeaux, Tim forwarded us some photos of the day which we weren’t aware of him taking which was a fantastic memoir of the day - having some candid snaps of us enjoying ourselves! If we find ourselves in Bordeaux again, I would have no hesitation in suggesting Rustic Vines for a fantastic, fun, interesting day out for all to enjoy!
