What to expect
Join a history - guide on an exploration of Hobart's notorious convict heritage of Battery Point.
Expect fascinating stories delivered with insight and passion, as we explore the remarkable lives of craftsman, clergyman, free settlers, merchants and convicts as they begun to quarry stone, hunt whales and building the foundations of Hobart by convict labour.
Admire the architectural treasures of Battery Point overlooking the Derwent river.
The experience is physically not demanding and has been attended by all ages.

Although we have been to Hobart many times Peter showed and told us things that we didn't know. He had done his research well and has the historic photos and sketches to match. It was good value for money.

Full of fascinating information and anecdotes about the history and development of Hobart, focussing on, but not limited to Salamanca, Battery Point and the docks area. His research is very thorough and detailed, including many photos which provide increased insight into the early days. I'm Tasmanian born and bred and visit Hobart, including the Salamanca area frequently and will now see this beautiful part of the world in different light, thanks to Peter.I enjoyed this walk so much.
