We took our two daughters (ages 6 & 9) and they both had a really good time. The tour was exciting for them and us and the guide was very energetic and made the tour go by really quick. She answered any questions we had and we really knowledgeable about the area. The kids said the best past was learning about the spooky cemetery. If you book this wonderful experience plan enough time to find parking, we had to run so we wouldn’t be late.I took my 6 children to Salem and cannot say enough about the History Walking Tour. I took my 6 children to Salem and cannot say enough about the History Walking Tour. I plan on coming back to go on the other tour they offer! John was an incredible tour guide. He made the tour educational and memorable! The tour was our favorite part of our trip to Salem! I loved our tour guide’s parting wisdom about standing up for the truth and taking the opportunities presented on our journeys in life because we don’t know the lasting impression we will have on history. 5 stars!Alicia was a fantastic tour guide!! Alicia was a fantastic tour guide!! She made our trip to Salem so much more meaningful. My kids are 8 & 14 - and Alicia was able to keep their attention and interest for an hour and a half - no small feat! She shared so many interesting details that we really felt like we got a nice picture of Salem through the centuries. The kids and I went back through the places she took us the next day and talked about what we had seen and learned. It was really great to see how much they took in and how it gave them such a deeper understanding of this incredible historic town, and the witch trials too. This is probably the most important thing you can do for your kids if you’re visiting Salem. As an adult - it was a wonderful tour for me too. I learned so much more than I had ever heard or read about. I love that now we feel like we can really picture the town and history when we think of Salem. It’s so much more than we expected! (Alicia pointed us in the right direction for lunch - which was AMAZING! She seriously knows everything there is to know about this town!)Excellent tour! Our tour guide was engaging, informative and gave great age appropriate explanations. He did a great job keeping the kids engaged. Great job brining history to life for the kids (I learned some things too!)

This was such a great tour! My husband and I took our two daughters, 11 and 14. It was perfect for us. The guide was exceptional—engaging, patient, and well informed. (Because she is a middle school history teacher, she knows how to grab and hold everyone’s attention.) It was the perfect way to get a brief overview of Salem. Even though it is billed as a kids tour, it was nonetheless great for adults, too, and I learned a lot. Although the guide works well with kids of all ages, because it is a walking tour and lasts an hour, it seems best for children ages 8 and older. The little ones in our group started to get “itchy” after about a half hour. While she touches on all aspects of Salem, the content is kept “G rated” and upbeat (which is quite a feat). If you have kids or are a kid at heart who wants a user friendly intro to Salem, take this tour! This was a great tour for our family of 5 with ages ranging from 7 to 38! Alicia made the tour interesting and we learned a lot about the area and history, not just as it relates to witches but the history of the city itself. It was informative, fun, and kid friendly.
