Alim was personable and informative throughout the tour. My group and I loved that he shared just the right amount of information without overwhelming us. We did not love that we had to pay for every entrance and meal after paying $65 each for the tour. To be clear our additional cost were about $30 each with entrances and food. Considering the $195 paid to Viator, we spent $285 as a group of 3 but the tour guide only received $50 total for the day. Booking directly with a local guide or arranging transportation and walking through the sites independently would have been much more cost effective.Was really fun and informative. Our guide Olim was a Samarkand native and was incredibly friendly and managed to show us all the main parts of the city without it feeling rushed.
