It was a wonderful day!! Shopping for our provisions at the Mercado Munipal market where chef Fransisco taught us how to pick the freshest produce. observing how authentic masa tortilla 's are made and tasting them hot off the press! Chef Fransisco's and his wife Luz's graciously share their home and teach every aspect of delicious mexican salsa's, mole's, and hibiscus margaritas! We had a wonderful experience learning to create some authentic dishes with Chef Francisco and his wife Luz. From learning which items to purchase at the local market, to actually preparing the foods under Francisco's guidance, and then eating a tasty meal (and making a hibiscus margarita), it was an all-star experience which we would highly recommend. The visit to the tortilla factory was interesting and informative. We felt welcomed and appreciated the very detailed instruction we were given. A huge thank you to Francisco and Luz!We met Francisco (looking very crisp in his Cooking in Cabo jacket) at the public market, then chose ingredients from the market at various vendors. We met Francisco (looking very crisp in his Cooking in Cabo jacket) at the public market, then chose ingredients from the market at various vendors. Francisco was well known. He educated us about how to pick the best of certain vegetables and fruits which were used later in the recipes. We visited a tortilleria, watched as corn tortillas were made and had a sample. At Francisco’s kitchen, we prepared the fruit, vegetables and meat for our dinner but first made Margaritas, each to our own liking. We laughed and learned a lot!
