Savannah Colonial Park Cemetery Immersive Dark History Experience
We're sorry. This tour is no longer available.
Overview
This cemetery is the oldest standing burial ground in Savannah, founded in 1750. It has changed hands and names several times throughout its long history. The park itself is a fraction of the size of the original cemetery, so many burials are outside its current borders. The last burial here was in 1853.
Join us on this unique tour and get a totally different perspective of Savannah history! See the city through the eyes of its former residents who have gone on before, and whose spirits are said to still linger. Explore the interesting, and, at times, troubled story of the cemetery itself. Stop by the Habersham Vault, where the family that built the famous Olde Pink House rests. Listen to the intriguing story of Button Gwinnett, one of two signers of the Declaration of Independence from Georgia, who may or not be buried within the cemetery's grounds. All this and more can be found on our Colonial Park Cemetery Tour.
