Overview

Enjoy a 1 hr hour walking guided horseback ride with panoramic views of the Verde Valley. We are only 30 minutes from Sedona. This ride is tailored for nervous first timers, beginners, families and children. The ride takes you around the Texas Longhorn pen where you will get to see Brutus, the gentle giant as well as buffalo.. Enjoy views of the Verde Valley, Mingus Mountains and see as far as the San Fransico Peaks in Flagstaff. The old west feel of this location, the western facades, horses, chickens, goats and cows will make you want to trade your shiny shoes for an old pair of boots and your fancy car for a horse! Guest are also welcome to feed the barbado sheep, give the horses treats or take a selfie with the minis.

Inclusions

  • Horseback Ride
  • Use of helmet (optional)

What to expect

Itinerary

Arrive at least 30mins before your scheduled ride time and be greeted by your guide or the office associate. After signing a waiver, you'll be walked over to the loading dock which ensures easy mounting and dismounting of your horse. Safety always comes first, so after a riding demo (helmets provided if desired) you'll meet your horse, and then saddle up! You don't need any riding experience and nervous first timers are welcome.

On your ride, you'll learn all about the local area including the various flora and fauna, the mountains and the history of the land. The scenery is nothing short of stunning! Ride with real cowboy's through some of the original Texas Long Horns and see our Buffalo along the way. This is a gentle walking tour and perfect for adults and children.

When you're back at the ranch, you'll dismount and free to walk around and feed the animals treats. We have goats, chickens, mini ponies, pigs and more. Sit by the fire in the winter or relax for a bit under a shade canopy while you get your land legs back!

Nice horseback ride with very experienced horses and guides. Enjoyed the time outside in beautiful weather and a chance to do something we normally don’t have time to try.

We had a fantastic time on the scenic horseback ride! It was my husband’s first time on a horse and he felt very safe and comfortable on his horse. We both really enjoyed the guide (Keys). He was very knowledgeable and friendly and told us a ton of valuable information about the Camp Verde/Sedona...

We enjoyed a 5:30 pm ride. The guide was Brandon and very nice, friendly, informative. I agree with another viewer part of the ride was more scenic but another side was industrial and in view and crossed under a main Highway. The ride location could be more scenic. We enjoyed the hosts, minia...

Keys was the best trail guide I have ever had. He really entertained us with his western anecdotes. We will make this a regular activity whenever we come to Sedona. The facility it meticulous, the animals are clean and very healthy.

This was a last minute idea my boyfriend & I had over breakfast the previous morning. We DEFINITELY are glad we did! Keys was an incredible guide and told lots of great stories. I can’t wait to come back & bring my whole family for this experience!
