Pass By: Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, Red Centre, Northern Territory
The incredible aerial view of Uluru is a must-see. On this flight we also take you across to the spectacular domes of Kata Tjuta for a view that will leave you speechless. Due to the sacredness of this area so much of it is off limits from the ground, so the only way to really appreciate these amazing formations is to see them from above. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks Brenden for the sneaky Brenden selfie on our camera. Will be remembered as a highlight of our time experiencing Uluru. The flight over Lake Amadeus and trying to spot a camel or two was spectacular. Thanks again Brenden.

Leaving the apartment in the dark we were very excited about our flight on a Cessna at sunrise with Captain Jack. The 3 seater aircraft ( plus captain) took off so smoothly you hardly even noticed you had left the ground. Once in the air as the day dawned the colours of the day started to unfold as we saw the sun rising, a red fire ball in the sky it was fantastic to watch as Uluru and Kata Tjuta slowly came to life. Flying around them and seeing this from above was a whole new experience to seeing them at ground level. We then flew over Lake Amadeus which is the largest dry salt lake in the NT, it was huge around 180km long and we could see camel tracks in the salty surface, we even saw 2 wild camels in the bush, Captain Jack did a loop so we could see them clearly and take photos Jacks commentary was informative and he was very nice and easy to chat too for the whole trip. To top of a fabulous start too our day we also had a perfectly smooth flight & landing. Thanks Jack we give this experience a 10 out of 10 and definitely the highlight as our already amazing trip.Just did the Lizard Safari covering Lake Amadeus, Kata Tjuta and Uluru at sunset. Just did the Lizard Safari covering Lake Amadeus, Kata Tjuta and Uluru at sunset. It was one of the best hours I've spent in the air. The colours and textures of the landscape at that time were breathtaking and magical. Thank you to Captain Jack for being so accommodating and letting me take photos with the window open. I had initially baulked at having to pay for an extra seat as I was the only passenger on the trip, but I have absolutely no regrets. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.Highlight of our stay. Highlight of our stay. Not to be missed amazing views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta (Olgas) You think you've seen it when you arrive by air, but it is so much more than we expected. We did the walk around the rock too but you get a totally different perspective from the air and the size and colours of the salt lake Amadeus was so impressive. Our pilot was excellent and very informative. We were picked up from the hotel and looked after the whole time. Highly recommended . Worth every cent. .We were originally setting out for a longer flight including Kings Canyon but weather conditions at this time of year meant we needed to revise our plans - which was fine as our pilot James had our safety and comfort in mind at all times. We were originally setting out for a longer flight including Kings Canyon but weather conditions at this time of year meant we needed to revise our plans - which was fine as our pilot James had our safety and comfort in mind at all times. Regardless, we felt very lucky to see what we did - views over Uluru you’d never otherwise see and same for the magnificent Kata Tjuta. Lake Amadeus can only be seem by air so this was a real treat. James was a terrific and knowledgeable pilot - we felt safe at all times. A highlight of our trip to Uluru.Thoroughly recommended to everyone who wants to see Uluru and Kata Tjuta Seeing Uluru and especially Kata Tjuta from the air _and_ from not far away left me speechless and filled with joy. Thoroughly recommended to everyone who wants to see Uluru and Kata Tjuta Seeing Uluru and especially Kata Tjuta from the air _and_ from not far away left me speechless and filled with joy. It was so much more than I expected. I still can't put it to words. I've experienced Uluru and Kata Tjuta in many ways now, including seeing Ayers Rock from the plane during arrival and, I am still so grateful that I got to see them like this. Also, about our pilot, James, he was excellent! He takes care of everything. Pick up, checking us in, the flight and the drive back! Through all, his cheerfulness was really nice, and he was a great guide, telling us about what we could see as we were flying too. His landing was especially impressive too; one of the smoothest landings I've seen! Again, I thoroughly recommend this experience to everyone Note: helicopter or airplane? The views are different. Helicopters are restricted to 500 feet below air planes. For some of the more stunning views that you get from above and appear on Instagram and brochures, I'd definitely recommend the airplane.
