After a short trip of just 30 minutes by aerial cableway you'll reach Schilthorn - Piz Gloria.
The view from the spacious observation deck on the 2970-metre-high Schilthorn summit is breathtaking in the truest sense of the word. Surrounded by a magnificent array of peaks like pearls on a string, you can feast your eyes on more than 200 mountains from here. Nowhere else is the view of the UNESCO World Heritage site with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau more stunning.
This ticket also allows you to visit the 360° Restaurant Piz Gloria, Bond World and the Thrill Walk.

Terrific option to spend an entire day in the area, stopping at various points along the cable car ride. Your first stop could be Murren, walk around, maybe go to Allmendhubel, walk down to Gimmelwald. Then hop on the cable car again and head up to Birg, maybe 20 mins enjoying the view. Then onwa...
Terrific option to spend an entire day in the area, stopping at various points along the cable car ride. Your first stop could be Murren, walk around, maybe go to Allmendhubel, walk down to Gimmelwald. Then hop on the cable car again and head up to Birg, maybe 20 mins enjoying the view. Then onwards to Schilthorn. I got here around 11am, when it was sunny and the views were stunning. As the afternoon rolls, the clouds take over the valley and the views are obscured. I enjoyed a cheese platter. I went for a nice hike at the top. It's loose rock so you have to be careful, but if the weather is good you could do an out-and-back hike for 2 hours. There's safety ropes all along the way --- don't go astray! The weather changes quickly at this height, so be prepared on the hike. It was so peaceful and serene that I just sat in one spot for an hour along the hiking trail, with absolutely nobody around, which was such a deep and meditative experience. But beware: the cable car can get very busy. Be prepared to wait along all the stops. The weather high up is cloudy and unpredictable, so you may not be able to see any view at all at the top. I went mid-July, and I definitely needed a 60-degree (F) jacket to go outside at the top. All in all, it was a great day!710suzettem

Schilthorn - Piz Gloria offer one of the most amazing views from their observation deck that one could ever experience! The Bond Cinema and museum are very well done....one definitely feels a part of the history of James Bond! The facilities were very clean and they had one of the only public drinking fountains (water spigot) offered in all of Switzerland (outside of villages with hiking trails) that we have seen. The cable cars were efficient and timed so that you could exit one and cue up for the next one with little delay. Even the gift shop has some lovely items in addition to the regular souvenirs. Now for the disappointment...the dining experience was truly disappointing. I normally wouldn't take the time to complain in such detail...but Piz Gloria is serving more than three million guests annually and I find it interesting that a rare person has offered concerns about the restaurant experience. After watching a YouTube video interview with the PizGloria manager, it appeared that the food for both the buffet and the Bond Burger meal looked pretty good; we preordered the Bond Burger and salad with cocktail + capuccino or hot chocolate. We learned that everyone with reservations are allowed a total of 90 minutes at the table so we were prepared not to linger beyond that time. Perhaps Piz Gloria was just having an off day but our host and server (same person) was very brusque, asked what food we had previously ordered online while we were still standing and hadn't even made it to our table (now, who does this - ever?)! We thought that was a bit strange, but shook it off and sat down at a window table. Our server then took our drink orders and was not pleased that we asked to add a bottle of water to our order (as this meant he had to collect a separate payment). Salad and bread were delivered; the lettuce and dressing were great but the tomato was shriveled up. We ordered the beef burger and the bun was decorated with the 007 logo (super cute idea). The meat itself had the strangest flavor and texture and the fries had literally zero flavor (it is difficult to ruin fries). One of us ordered a 007 capuccino and again, the decoration was darling but the cap was pretty tasteless. One of us ordered the "hot chocolate"...which was Ovalmaltine without sugar...our server delivered a steaming mug of frothed milk which was delightful...but sugarless Ovalmaltine is not hot chocolate in any Swiss restaurant we have dined in over the past two months....it is generally served upon request. The windows in the 360 degree view Piz Gloria have an exterior tinting; some of the tinting treatments were peeling off and were in need of replacement. The windows were also very dirty and spotted with dirt - probably from the ongoing construction but it is probably best to mention on the website that in addition to construction equipment on site the views out the dining room will be less than clear. In summary, if you are a Bond fan, make the trek to the top, spend time outside taking pictures of the breathtaking mountains, go in and spend an hour or so enjoying the cinema and history of Bond as it is extremely well done....but maybe pack a picnic lunch and skip the dining room altogether as the food is mediocre at best and the service is extremely rushed (note - it was not busy when we were seated @ 11 a).204adrienec

We had clear warm weather to enjoy glorious views. The cable cars were packed full of people, so not everyone could see out a window. Restaurant was good, but one sandwich took forever to come to our table. Enjoyed view at Birg and Gimmelwald also.

I cannot describe by words this place. You only need to sit, enjoy the view of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and just forget about the whole world. The food is also very tasty and of course signed by 007. There is also some small museum with some gadgets from the movie. Definitely one of my favourite...
