He was very relaxed and skilled under water. Our instructor Roberto had a lot of knowledge and looked out after us. We felt very confident with him! We went by boat, who was perfectly driven by the captain Gabriel and Abraham. Had such an AMAZING experience with Andres (instructor), Wualo (boat captain) and Malek (photographer) at PocNa Dive Center!! Andres was super professional from start to finish and you could tell diving and sea life was his passion. I have severe anxiety and was very nervous about my very first scuba dive. But Andres completely put me at ease with his on-point instructions and attention to his clients. I felt very safe and had the most INCREDIBLE experience of my life thanks to Andres! I went from a nervous wreck to a comfortable diver enjoying all the beauty around me in just a few hours, thanks to the PocNa team. Wualo was an awesome boat captain who kept the divers safe and got them to the dive sites quickly. So incredibly thankful that Malek was there as our photographer. Not only was he able to take some gorgeous pics of us underwater, he was able to capture the beautiful sea life we saw and we can re-live it thru his photos whenever we want. My husband and I are now continuing our scuba and plan on getting certified because we enjoyed this dive so much! I HIGHLY recommend PocNa for your diving adventures ❤️This is a wonderful group of dedicated people. Andres our instructor was amazing. My girlfriend Valerie and I had a wonderful experience on our MUSA dive from Pocna Dive Center on Isla Mujeres! I recommend them without reservation. It was very easy to book our trip online, though a bit confusing to find the location of the dive center. Fortunately, we were able to determine it was on the grounds of Hotel Selina. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by dive center staff, who provided us with necessary paperwork and explained how the day would go. Before the dive, we would watch a video and complete a short quiz before going to our training session in the pool. Our dive instructor and guide, Pepe, was amazing. He started us off in the hotel pool. Neither of us are PADI certified, but I have some experience diving more than 40 years ago. Valerie is an experienced snorkeler, but had never done scuba. I picked it up again very quickly, though Pepe had to remind me to improve a few techniques. Valerie found the pool session a bit overwhelming, since we had to practice clearing and recovering our regulators in a somewhat crowded space. Pepe was very patient and enthusiastic with both of us, and he really took Valerie under his wing. It's obvious he really loves his job, takes our safety very seriously, and wanted us to have a great experience. After the training session, our group of seven divers paraded the few blocks across the island, in our wetsuits, to the pier. All the heavy equipment was transported by staff. When we arrived at the boat, Captain Gabriel and his crew member Abraham cheerfully help us all on board. They took good care of us, checked in regularly to ensure we all felt comfortable, and even offered a snack of watermelon between the two dives. We also met Malek, who announced he would photograph us during our dives. He was very unobtrusive. Most of the time, I didn't realize he was even there, but occasionally he would appear in front of me just as I was making some fantastic discovery. How he managed this with several small groups of divers is a mystery! Once we were in the ocean, Valerie felt much more comfortable. There was plenty of space to move, and the emergency techniques we practiced previously are rarely needed in actual diving. I was fairly independent, so Pepe was able to focus mostly on Valerie. However, he regularly checked in with me, and we exchanged the "OK" sign. Swimming weightlessly among the submerged sculptures of MUSA was magicalHad an amazing time Scuba diving. My instructor Pepe was very helpful and photographer Malek was great! I felt like I was in safe hands entire time and museum was very cool
