Sea to Sky Afternoon Sail
Overview
We will depart from the docks in Squamish (about 40 minutes north of Vancouver on the highway to Whistler) and raise the sails as we pass beneath the legendary Stawamus Chief granite monolith and Shannon Falls.
Regardless of expertise or ability, you will learn about sailing and experience unbounded excitement as the wind fills our sails and accelerates our 40' sailboat across the waters of Canada's southernmost fjord. Take a turn at the helm or grind a winch to trim sails - the more involved you become, the more fun you will have.
We will explore the northern section of the Howe Sound fjord and promise many photo opportunities that will stand amongst the highlights of your trip.
With a little luck, we may even sight a pod of dolphins or Orcas!
Welcome aboard - let's have some fun.
Inclusions
- Soda/Pop
- All safety gear is provided
What to expect
Prepare yourself for an adventure that balances the thrill of sailing Howe Sound's legendary winds with the breathtaking views of the Coastal and Tantalus mountain ranges.

A dance of colourful kites await as we tack offshore in the afternoon's inflow winds. The same topographic phenomenon that makes the area perfect for sailing attracts kiteboarders from around the world.

I would give our trip a 10 star review if I could. The crew was unbelievable. So friendly and knowledgeable. I walked away wishing I lived here and could hang out with the crew. Told story after story for the 3 hours we sailed. Had a smaller outing with only 8 people, and it was truly special. My daughter and I got to steer the sailboat for quite some time. We also got to play as crew members. This was the highlight of our Vancouver vacation. Made me want to look more into sailing as a hobby. Thanks Dave for taking great care of us.What an amazing experience! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Canada. What an amazing experience! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Canada. Although the wind was lacking we still managed to have a beautiful sail across the Howe Sound. David, Alison and Harley were fabulous hosts and showed us how to sail this beautiful boat, everyone got to have a go at taking on a role. We stopped twice for a dip in the lovely (refreshing) water, behind the logs in the picture was a family of seals enjoying the last of the day's sun - it was magical to see. I would 100% recommend this tour. This was our third time sailing with David and Becky, and it was as brilliant as the first two trips. This was our third time sailing with David and Becky, and it was as brilliant as the first two trips. Howe Sound is spectacular in all weathers, but to see the clouds rolling through gaps in the hills, and the dark mountains against the turquoise water, was magical. As always, the yacht was in beautiful condition and the whole experience was a delight from beginning to end. We are both experienced sailors, but we had a little more wind than previously, and David was always keen to make sure we were still happy with conditions (which we were!). Cannot recommend this trip highly enough.....Wonderful experience! The crew was friendly and knowledgeable (special thanks to Dave, Alison & Harli). I really enjoyed learning about sailing and seeing beautiful views!
