After much searching but without a definite plan my family and I decided we wanted to island hop in Croatia by boat one day. Running out of time on our vacation I contacted Toni via WhatsApp when the site wouldn’t allow me to book with my foreign credit card. He was extremely delightful and helpful which secured my decision in booking with his company. I booked the Hvar + the secrets of Solta and Brac at the last minute so there weren’t many slots or boats available but he pulled some strings and got us a great boat and skipper for the day. We were staying outside of Split on the harbor in Kastela Sucurac and he told us he could just pick us up there!!!! Which meant we didn’t have to taxi into split! What amazing guest service! Our Skipper Blaz picked us up and he was awesome from the start! He had water and other drinks for us waiting. We were with my parents so they insisted he drive slower lol. He constantly was checking on them and making small talk with my dad. The ride was beautiful out to all of the islands. The secret beach in Brac was incredible as there were only 5 other people on the beach. In Solta we had mojitos from the floating mojito bar and swam in the crystal blue waters. Hvar was nice to walk around and have breakfast right on the water as we docked. I would do this tour all over again. The boat itself was both nice and comfortable and Blaz kept us laughing the whole time! We had so much fun with him...thank you Toni, Blaz, and the whole Tamaris family...we can’t wait to come back!We did the Hvar tour with Secrets if Brac and Solta. His role was more of a skipper than a tour guide, but he was nice and happy to accommodate. If you are a serious snorkeler, it’s best to bring your own mask. They had a number of masks and snorkels on the boat in variable condition. We had enough time in Hvar to hike up to the fortress and then get a refreshment afterwards in town. The grilled fresh fish at the restaurant by the water in Solta was great. At the end, be sure to have cash ready for payment if you did not pre-pay on line beforehand. We had only prepaid the deposit, so we had to run to the ATM not sure if we could withdraw the full amount because the cost was over our daily withdrawal limit, but it worked out.Fantastic Day out, with an extremely good skipper Marko. Really made our kids and Dogs welcome on the boat. Good explanation of the history and nature. Can highly recommend.

We are a family of 4, actually with 2 adult children (in their 20’s, not teens). I read many reviews about Tamaris and they are a first class operation from beginning to end-completely as advertised and so much more!!! Worth every penny!!! Toni, the owner is incredibly responsive and our captain for the day, Marco, was awesome! The pick-up in Split was a breeze. The boats are clean and comfortable. We passed other tours on the water and were so glad that we chose Tamaris! We chose this tour for its ability to take us to uncrowded spots. We started the morning crossing to Hvar. The port was filled with boats of all kinds but Marco is extremely competent and expertly steered us to a drop-off spot. The climb to the fort is a must-do for incredible views! Then is was off to a secluded swimming spot on Brac (snorkel gear provided) which was perfect after our climb in Hvar. You can go at your own pace-no rushing us- so when we had enough swimming, we traveled to a an old, secret, submarine hide-out, complete with a rope swim which my husband and son really enjoyed! Lots of laughs. Lunch was at a fabulous restaurant on the water on the island of Solta. Note-cash only-I had the catch of the day-right out of the water! It was a lovely, leisurely lunch then off to our final stop, a swim/snorkel spot in a secluded cove. Soooo fun plopping right in off the boat! Do not miss the opportunity to order a mojito from the “Floating Mojito Bar!” A nice ride back to Split with some great tunes and our Croatian holiday was in full swing. The water is so clean and the most beautiful shades of green/blue! We are now sitting on a beach in Dubrovnik which is not nearly as nice as our day on the water with Tamaris. My husband and I both agree that this will be the day we all remember about from our trip to Croatia! Go ahead and book you will not be disappointed!Stayed in Podstrana near Split between August 9th and 19th and as 2 families making 9 we wanted to go on a boat trip. Stayed in Podstrana near Split between August 9th and 19th and as 2 families making 9 we wanted to go on a boat trip. Looked at all the fixed shared boats and nothing really worked for us. We then discovered Toni at Tamaris Charter who hire boats out to people with or without skippers on a private basis. Toni was first class in all our initial discussions over email. He took the time to understand what my party wanted and then suggested a trip and schedule. Payment was easy via the website. The day arrived and Toni kindly agreed to meet us in podstrana at no extra cost rather than driving to Split :) The boat was perfect and clean. So we set off for our tour. Toni was flexible and kept checking what we wanted and how long to be at the sites we wanted to see. The private beach was amazing, as was the rope swing experience. We then went to a restaurant where the food was first class. Followed by a trip to the sunken boat. The kids were allowed to play there music via the bluetooth system and we had such a great day, What is special about Tamaris is that they can tweak your trip based on your requirements. The trip was not rushed and very relaxing. Could not ask for a better day. Even the kids said it was their favourite trip out of the holiday. My advice to anyone looking for a boat trip around Split Croatia is to contact Toni at Tamaris first and don't bother with the fixed trips where you have to share you day with others and to a tight schedule. It will save you a lot of wasted time and you would not regret it. Big thanks to all at Tamaris charter especially Toni who is a top guy from Darren and family. We booked the Secrets of Brac and Solta in combination with a visit to the Blue Lagoon and experienced a fantastic trip, led by our patient, competent and very friendly skipper Marko Rogulj who showed us some really nice spots on some islands (Drvenik Veli, Brac and Solta) in the dalmatian sea close to Trogir and Split... including three snorkeling and swimming spots, one of those a sunken sailing ship, two beatiful island towns for lunch and recreation and a former bunker for submarines, today a shelter for fisherboats. A great day trip for the whole family, spanning from 7 years old - the youngest of us - to 79, the grandmother. (Our youngest familiy member swims and snorkels quite well, though. I think that is necessary for this excursion). Absolute recommendation!!!
