This was an outstanding tour. Besides the fun of riding the Segway, our tour guide was a knowledgeable naturalist who told us all kinds of interesting facts about the flora and fauna of this unique region. I did tumble off once, but that's because I'm an incredible klutz; nothing to do with our guide! We had a good orientation and practice session. Highly recommend this as your cruise shore excursion to move from the sea to the land for a few hours. The smell of the woods was heavenly! We have done several segway tours and this was a great one. our guide was so full of knowledge so we learned so much about the region. Reuben is excellent at making sure you have a great ride. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see Juneau at its best.

Ah yes, an Alpine Meadow on a dry and sunny morning, just outside Juneau. Grab a helmet, watch the safety video and then get individual instruction on how to safely maneuver your machine. Show Reuben you can ride it like the rodeo horse! Once everyone in the group is comfortable it's time to get to the trail and listen to the roar of silence as you glide along and Reuben explains the flora and fauna, stopping intermittently to point out interesting features, including wild blueberries that need to be eaten. There is a break with a pleasant surprise half way out the tour, and a short walk up trail to learn about mining issues from days gone by. The return trip is even more fun as everyone gets to roll at their own speed with very few stops. The lead guide even takes the time to describe how best to make that uphill 270 degree turn to the right. And, each rider flowed through with no problems. Face masks were optional, by the way. Do this tour and you can come back and thank me!
