The drive out from Blenheim takes roughly 15 minutes and on arrival at our base you will get the chance to try out the bikes to find one that suits you. You will be given your own detailed cellar door map to keep to refer to during the day and the team will talk you through this to help get you orientated with the area. There is then a short safety briefing and a video that runs through all of the cellar doors that has up-to-date information on what wines they offer, their tasting charges, if they have food available and their opening/closing times.
The team will be there at all times to help you with any questions you may have, and offer advice and ideas on routes and where you might like go. You will be fitted with a hi-vis helmet and given a lanyard to pop around your neck (this has our contact details on it and a reminder of what time your bike hire finishes), then you are free to go and visit your chosen cellar doors and do so all at your own pace. If you need us for anything whilst you are out, the team are but a phone call away.
Once your time on the bikes is finished, you return to our base and our shuttle will be waiting here to take you back to your accommodation again.

Cellar Door Bookings
There is no need for you to book in ahead of time to visit any of the cellar doors that surround us here in Renwick. You will have upwards of 12+ to choose from who are between 5-20 minutes biking from our place and you can simply turn up and they will do a tasting with you. The ONLY cellar door that does require bookings is *Cloudy Bay* – they are a 40-minute bike ride from our base, so if you have to go there, the ideal times to book would be between 12 Noon and 2pm.

Wonderful day exploring the wineries by bike. We were picked up at our hotel and and had a quick drive to the starting point. From there we were fitted with a bike and helmet. We then watched a short video about the wineries and given a map with instructions. It was nice to go at our own pace as well as pick the places we wanted to stop. We had a nice lunch at Hunters winery. The only thing I would caution you about is the pick up time. Viator does not tell you to be ready 30 min ahead of time for your pick up. Thank goodness we were in our hotel room and they called for us.You don’t need to be an expert cyclist to enjoy this self guided cycling trip. You don’t need to be an expert cyclist to enjoy this self guided cycling trip. The terrain is flat and there are so many wineries close to the bike hire place. They will pick you up from your accommodation ( no extra charge). Steve’s briefing is great - very clear and you’re given a map with all the info about the wineries so you can plan your day - or at least decide where you’re going to start and take it from there. Early in the afternoon we’d stopped at the side of the road to take a photo ( we’re no good at selfies!), Steve was driving by and stopped to take a photo for us. Excellent customer service and a fantastic day out. I’d highly recommend it if you’re planning to visit a few wineries. Thanks Steve and Jo!We had a wonderful time borrowing bikes from Steve and Jo! We had a wonderful time borrowing bikes from Steve and Jo! They were incredibly friendly and gave us tons of great recommendations so we could plan our day out and make the most of the wineries. The process of getting the bikes was quick and easy and the maps they provided helped us get around the region with ease. They even dropped us off back off in town with their van at the end of the day which was greatly appreciated and saved us spending on cab fairs. Can't recommend this experience enough and will definitely be coming back next time we're in Marlborough! We had a beautiful day! Steve and Jo are superfriendly and very helpful. We had a beautiful day! Steve and Jo are superfriendly and very helpful. Squeeky brakes on the bike? They fix it. Pick up and (more importantly after a ehole day of wine tasting) drop off is no problem at all. We got nice inside information from Steven on which winehouses to visit and where to bike. We loved sugar Loaf winehouse, one of the smaller ones and the Gin tasting was amazing as well. Even a short patch of rain could not dampen our spirits on this wonderful day! Definitely recommend booking this tour with Steve and Jo. Many thanks for the lovely experience!Really well run professional business with friendly helpful hosts and excellent biking equipment. Great advice for a successful self-guided bike tour. Highly recommend this service.
