Everything about the tour was ideal, I would highly recommend it. I was in Shanghai on business so doing a night tour was perfect. I do a bike tour in every country I visit - it’s an ideal way to cover lots of ground and get to know a city. On arrival at the office, German (our excellent Spanish guide) sat us down introduced himself and talked us through the tour, showing us on the map. The bikes were in good condition with lights and a helmet. We had a great tour - highlights were going inside a courtyard in the old Chinese quarter and visiting a traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy. We also had a visit at the start to a cafe for authentic noodles which were delicious. This is ideal as we chatted as a group and got to know each other. Throughout the tour German gave us cultural and historical info - just the right amount of information. We took lots of photos including at the British bridge in front of the Bund for good views. It was relaxed and leisurely and German was excellent company. Next time I would book a day tour if I can. And I would definitely use Culture Shock tours again. We spend more than 3 hours discovering Shanghai with our guide, she was really nice and gave us a lot of information. I will definitely do it again with some friends when they will visit us. I strongly recommend this tour !!!
