What to expect
Upon your arrival at our crew house, a warm welcome awaits you along with a light breakfast. Our expert crew members will then provide you with a comprehensive safety briefing. We then embark on a scenic 20-minute boat ride to reach the dive site. As we drop anchor, our floating cage is attached to the side of the boat. You will be provided with diving gear.
Guests take turns immersing themselves in the incredible world beneath the surface. Inside the 8-man cage, you'll have the opportunity to come face-to-face with awe-inspiring Great White and Bronze Whaler Sharks. You may also encounter other fascinating marine species such as Rays and Sun Fish. For those not currently in the cage, the adventure continues onboard. Take a moment to relax and savor refreshing onboard beverages while enjoying sightings of sharks and other magnificent marine creatures from the spacious viewing deck of the boat. As the anchor is lifted, our skilled skipper guides us back to the dock, marking the end of an unforgettable experience. Upon returning to our crew house, guests are invited to indulge in a delicious post-trip meal while reliving their extraordinary journey through captivating video footage.

From the time I was picked up at my hotel in Capetown to when I was dropped off, I was impressed by the personality and professionalism of the crew of White Shark Diving Company. The booking staff answered all the questions I had prior to booking. And every communication I received informed me that the last time a white shark had been observed. The driver Shaheen was friendly and open to questions and conversation about South Africa. Mrs Mary had nice breakfast waiting for us when we arrived and had nice hot lasagna waiting for us after we returned from the cols waters of Shark Alley. Each of boat crew were great in their roles. A couple stood out to me in their service. Our photographer Tian was super friendly with great enthusiasm. It was like he was so excited to share these sharks with us. The marine Biologist Meghan ethusiastically answered every question I had. And I had a lot. She was also very open to share about the research project she was conducting. We didn't see any white sharks it's not like they are pets or in a zoo. We did see several large Bronze Whaler sharks. The water visibility was poor. The captain said that would have been the only thing he would change about the day. It was a great day on the water. I would highly recommend White Shark Diving Company.I went with my wife and my 2-year-old son. We were very well received by the team. The experience of diving and seeing the sharks was incredible! After the tour we were served lunch which was very tasty. We recommend the White Shark company to everyone! If you wanna see sharks, choose this company. They really care not about making money, but about showing sharks to you without disturbing them. If you wanna see sharks, choose this company. They really care not about making money, but about showing sharks to you without disturbing them. So you go to the sea, then stop and try two attempts in a cage to enjoy sharks. In case you don’t dive, you can see them from the boat. They study sharks and can tell a lot about them. We had a pleasure to see bronze whalers, about 6 or 7 at a time. Upon coming back to the shore, you can try their lasagne, and watch videos of your trip. Thank you! What a brilliant experience. What a brilliant experience. The trip was fabulous made better by great helpful staff, from booking and asking for information to the crew. The boat ride out to the sharks was a lot of fun and although we had to wait for a while for sharks to appear (that’s nature for you) the crew did everything they could to ensure when they did appear everyone got the chance to see them from the cage. We were so lucky to see Bronze Whaler sharks and Seven Gill sharks. Wouldn’t have missed it. Back on dry land to a nice hot meal provided by the company. Loved the whole experience and definitely recommend.I appreciated the staff, and the process was welcoming and professional. The boat was great, and the food provided was good. I appreciated the staff, and the process was welcoming and professional. The boat was great, and the food provided was good. The most misleading and upsetting aspect of the experience was the constant advertisement usage of Great White Sharks despite the low to very low likey-hood of actually seeing a Great White Shark. Undoubtedly, with wild animals, you cannot expect certainty. However, the truth remains that Great White Sharks are not frequent in the Gansbaai waters due to being hunted by killer whales. I learned this from some of the friendly staff on the boat. This information would've impacted my decision to do the experience had I known beforehand and is not well communicated/hidden information. Even with no Great White Sharks, there are Reef Sharks called Bronzers(?), which I think are more commonly seen. On the day of my trip (in the third week of July), the staff were fairly confident that we were not going to see a shark because there had been a cold surface water current that kept the sharks deep in the water. Obviously, this is not the fault of the White Shark Diving Company, and they did everything they could to try and attract the shark to the surface, but at the end of the day, the Seagulls were the only things to watch. They do offer the chance to go again for free within the next two years, but that doesn't mean much for the customers who live in different continents. What I would do differently is call the place and ask questions about their shark log for the time I want to visit (In years prior, how many sharks did you see on this date/week? or How many sharks have you seen in the past week?) to try and avoid being disappointed.Water is so cold during winter.
