What an amazing team of people helping the animals in Fiji. We learnt so much and it was endlessly fun playing with the puppies and kittens. Wish we could have stayed longer and didn't have to leave. Highly recommend to any animal lover visiting Fiji!

These guys do fantastic work helping the animals of Fiji, and it was wonderful to see what they do and get to play with the animals, while knowing that our money was going to help such a good cause. I suspect this will become a standard activity each time we come back to Fiji. These people are amazing! These people are amazing! What they are doing for all the animals that come in for help, they find in need, or go out to the different villages to provide medical attention or any needs in general is absolutely heartwarming. The facility & all the people there are helping so many animals! More people need to visit them & help them with their cause to help all the fur-babies in need. Thanks so much for making my trip to Fiji one of the most memorable I ones. <3 KatieA great half day tour to learn about the important work of Animals Fiji (both the shelter and their outreach work). The facility is small, but the friendly and passionate staff are enacting positive change for the welfare of animals in their regions. I love meeting all the dogs, puppies, kittens and cats currently in their care. They loved all the cuddles and so did I! Many thanks to Alice (tour leader - pictured), Casey, Bek and all the staff for sharing your work with me. Highly recommended.Casey picked us up from our hotel and gave us a run down of the shelter on the way there. She was lovely and informative and very enthusiastic. Casey picked us up from our hotel and gave us a run down of the shelter on the way there. She was lovely and informative and very enthusiastic. The shelter is only small but really shows how you can make a difference with very little. The staff were all very friendly and all the animals in their care are happy. We also got to go out and see how they perform their outreach desexing days. It's a great way to spend half a day, while it may be confronting for some is it also a reality that needs to be experienced! Plus the added bonus of playing with some very cute animals!I went to Animals Fiji for around 3 hours, picked up at 9am by Casey. I went to Animals Fiji for around 3 hours, picked up at 9am by Casey. She was very friendly and talkative in the car which made me all the more excited to arrive at the shelter. When I arrived, I was greeted by mostly all of the staff (besides the ones in a consultation) who were very friendly and approachable. I was taken on a tour around the shelter by the shelter manager who was also very informative and friendly. She explained each part of the shelter in great detail which was extremely interesting. The tour took us around each room in the shelter, including the operation room and around the outdoor dog pens. After the tour had finished I was given as much time as I wanted to play with the puppies and kittens, who need socialising before going out for adoption. All the puppies and kittens were also very friendly. I also had the chance to watch an operation on a dog who was being spade which was great to see. Overall Animals Fiji was a great half day trip, it was informative and I felt no rush from staff as to when I had to leave, leaving me plenty of time to play with the puppies and kittens and look around further. The shelter is a little run down in places but still very clean and humane for the animals. With incoming donations and generosity of the locals I’m sure it won’t be long until many things can be upgraded!
