Enjoy a ride in an open-air, Jeep-drawn tram through the wooded, 160-acre homestead. Your Ozark native guide with take you through Old Matt's Cabin where three of the leading characters in the novel, The Shepherd of the Hills actually lived. This log cabin sits just as it did 130 years ago and is on the National Register of Historic Places. You will visit Morgan Church during your stop at Inspiration Point which is the highest point in Southwest Missouri where Harold Bell Wright camped while writing the book. The view is so spectacular that the name of this hill is Inspiration Point.

Some things need to be refurbished. Our tour guide (John) was a WEALTH of knowledge!!!

Our tour guide (John) was a WEALTH of knowledge!!!We got to go into Old Matt's Cabin It was really neat. We also went into the Old Post office which has been well preserved. Seeing the Chapel was really cool. I wish we could have went into it too. It sure was hot outside, but our guide was very entertaining.
