We booked a private Wine Tasting Tour with Paul Marston rather than a cruise shore excursion. The cost was similar to the cruise line but was for a longer day with food and wine included. Paul is an excellent driver and guide. We learned so much about the Bay of Plenty and surrounding area. We visited Mills Reef Winery for a most enjoyable tasting including a antipasto type platter. This was followed by a tasting at Leveret Estates where the sparkling wines that Judy poured were particularly enjoyable. Lastly, we traveled to the Karangahake Winery (I think formerly Ohinemeri Estate). A food platter and wine tastings were provided by Chantelle, the new owner of the winery. Along the way we stopped at a kiwi and a avocado farm. Paul was accommodating when our cruise ship schedule was altered. We highly rate this tour and would recommend it to others. This was a fantastic day spent with a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. The beer and wine were flowing as much as the laughter, would recommend this trip to anyone.

A very good tour. Good wines and a knowledgeable guide. The only change I would make is going to the craft brewery at 10 AM is a bit of a stretch for me. I would recommend shifting the beer tasting to the last stop, not the first. Bow was and excellent guide and driver.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day out visiting the spots of Tauranga and Mount Maunganui.
Wonderful tour , highlighted the tastings for the ara. Small group was wonderful and interesting. Guide was very helpful and gave great information. Very enjoyable. Only negative the Desert and Cocktail tasting at the completion of the trip was a little disappointing.
