It was cold and rainy the day we toured, but our guide and driver gave us a fantastic experience nevertheless. We were on a cruise aboard the Norwegian Star, and I have to say, this private tour was so much more relaxing and personal than the tours offered through the cruise line. We saw everything the Norwegian excursion guests visited, but we were in a minivan with just one other couple. We arrived at each destination before the cruise busses arrived, so we were able to see the sights without hundreds of other people flooding the area. And the price was about half that of the cruise line sponsored tours. We easily found our tour guide and the minivan just outside the terminal exactly where the email said we would find them. The ride was comfortable and the guide informative. We stopped at scenic overviews looking over breathtaking fjords, had a couple of opportunities to buy pastries and/or lunch, and shop for souvenirs. Our guide showed us where the free restrooms were, which was VERY helpful. We enjoyed the hike on paved trails to the waterfall with an astounding overlook of the Trollstigen, the road that turns and winds in hairpin turns all the way down the mountain. The only downside was the trip is very long, but you have to put up with that if you want to see Troll country. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the amazing sites without mingling with the crowds, at a very reasonable price. The town of Alesund is quaint and a brief walk from the cruise pier. If you wonder whether you could spend the day in town rather than going on an excursion, I would say there probably isn't a day's worth of sightseeing in the town. We had time after the tour to walk through the town, which was enjoyable, but not a whole day affair.Die Besichtigungstour ist ausgefallen. Die Straße war nicht befahrbar. Wie bekomme ich jetzt mein Geld zurück?
