I loved every place Karlo took me to. The people we wet were kind and knowledgeable of their delicious products. At one point, I was in tears while eating the sheep cheese with truffle honey drizzled on top - it was sublime; by far one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. The history of Croatia mixed with the food of Croatia makes a more meaningful tour. I will be going back to Zagreb and eating more of the delicious food. The tour is loaded with food. I suggest you go hungry.A great was to see the sights of Zagreb and learn a little about the history of the city and Croatia. Karlo is passionate about his work and great company. Karlo was a wonderful host, greeting our group of 8 friends with a local pastry - burek - to start the walking tour! My husband, who has celiac disease was also surprised and delighted to see Karlo was able to have a delicious and flaky gluten free burek for him too! He was very proactive and sensitive to all of the food allergies and preferences of our group. He was a knowledgeable and thoughtful and we learned a lot through the tour. He provided a ton of great suggestions for places to try and since we did the tour our first full day in Zagreb we had lots of time to try his suggestions. We were lucky enough to also spend the next day with him on the Plitvice Lakes tour where we had a lovely full day of hiking and picnic lunch. All in all, it was a terrific experience and he was a fun and gracious host! For many years I always wanted to visit Croatia and especially since my grandfather was born in a small town outside of Zagreb. For many years I always wanted to visit Croatia and especially since my grandfather was born in a small town outside of Zagreb. A friend of mine had just visited Croatia and highly recommended the tour guide they had hired, Karlo from Bespoke Croatian Tours. That converation got the ball rolling. After my first email communication with Karlo, I knew we were going to travel to Zagreb, and he was going to be our tour guide. He is a local who knows the city of Zagreb extremely well and has extensive knowledge of Croatian history and culture. He had visual aids and pictures on a tablet which he would give us tidbits of information throughout the walking tour of the beautiful city of Zagreb. He masterfully intertwined the history, and sights of Zagreb and Croatia with food tastings. We sampled pastries, cheese, prosciutto, salami, olives, olive oil, Croatian liqueurs, honey, wine, and then he took us to his favorite traditional restaurant, and we had several delicious courses. Book this tour!! You get the best of everything: fabulous food, interesting history, gorgeous architecture, and some walking in between to work off the calories! We started out with a tour guide and ended up with a friend. As I learned to say in Croatian…Hvala, KarloKarol was fantastic—very personable and knowledgeable. His venue choices were excellent and follow up recommendations comprehensive and outstanding.

We loved Karlo so much we booked him for this tour while on another tour with him! He is so personable and kind, professional and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time with him for 2 days! Karlo did a fantastic job narrating the history of Croatia and Zagreb specifically. He is a local and clearly knew the city very well. I also loved that we didn’t get a long history lecture. Instead, he gave us tidbits in between food tastings. I also really loved that he had visual aids in the form of photographs on his tablet. Many of the photos he shared with us were actually taken by his grandfather, which was really interesting!! The food. My God the food. So much food!!And everything was amazing!!! We sampled pastries, cheese, prosciutto, salami, olives, olive oil, Croatian liqueurs, honey, wine, and then he took us to his favorite traditional restaurant and we had several courses there. Book this tour!! You get the best of everything: fabulous food, interesting history, gorgeous architecture, and some walking in between to work off the calories! Make sure you go hungry!!
