This is a gentle tour through some beautiful scenery. We stopped at some beauty spots and for a while at Ullswater and for half an hour at Grasmere. Our guide, Peter, was an excellent source of information. I would recommend this tour as an introduction to the Lakes for those who have not been before or for those who, like me, have been many times but wanted to enjoy a relaxed morning without driving in this beautiful area,Gerry was so knowledgeable and a great trip and very good value for money. A wonderful way to see the area

It happened that I was the only person signed up for the tour. Nonetheless, my guide, Gerry was very professional. He is a nature lover, very knowledgeable and is really kind. He walked me through some of the places (village of Grasmere and churches) as if it was a private tour. I love all the places, especially the lakes, Grasmere, Cattlerigg Stone Circles. Gerry drove me back to Windermere on time for me to catch my train back to London. Lake District is truly an beautiful place, well worth the travel time (~3hrs) from London. I did a 2D1N trip and I will be back for a longer stay!We booked the tour in order to give us a basic guide to the area and wow what a morning . We booked the tour in order to give us a basic guide to the area and wow what a morning . Our guide Gerry Wilkinson was friendly and very knowledgeable . Nothing was too much trouble - we made a few stops for photos and a break at elswater. And when we stopped at Wordsworth burial site he gave us an optional tour around the church and yards . We actually learnt more about Beatrix potter and her influence on the lakes and development in the area than we did at her hilltop farm tour. Gerry was A very passionate guide and has much local knowledge of the area - we have booked another tour this week as it’s a fantastic introduction to the area. That way you see everything without the pressure of driving and parking and can return to the spots in your own time that you enjoy . Highly recommended 5 stars from usOur friendly driver Carl, took us to through lovely picturesque countryside and beauty spots which we would not have found on our own. Our friendly driver Carl, took us to through lovely picturesque countryside and beauty spots which we would not have found on our own. As it happened we were the only couple in the minibus that day so we had our own private tour. Carl gave us a wonderful commentary on aspects of local interest and history. The minibus was modern and comfortable.Been on a couple of Mountain Goat tours over the years but our driver this morning, Derek was exceptional. Been on a couple of Mountain Goat tours over the years but our driver this morning, Derek was exceptional. His knowledge of the area was informative and entertaining, giving plenty of warning of points of interest that would be coming up rather than trying to look for things as we went past. Will go again on our next trip to the lake district. One comment to note, if you book on line yourself make sure you get confirmation of the pick up time, despite receiving an email from the company there was nothing on it to indicate we were being picked up at 9:05 for a 9:30 tour, only found out when resort reception phoned to say the transport had arrived. This did not detract from a great morning.
