Sev was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable and informative. Lovely morning - what I most learned is how much more I could! Most unexpected - the Vatican contemporary collection, including interactive art installation. I would recommend this tour without hesitation.

Going in blind, we were lucky to have been referred to LivItaly by a family member who temped there. Booking, prices, communication out of the gate were all very easy and straightforward. We especially liked the follow up emails and the quick responses to extra questions. Because we were novices at all this, it took a couple of seconds for us to grasp that "skipping the line" does not mean there will be no line - as MANY companies and tour groups are "skipping the line" - and it does not mean you get in first and have the run of the place. Lots and lots of people were admitted before we were even allowed into the "skipping the line" line. That being said ; LivItaly had a rep where the rep was supposed to be, easily found, with our information ready. We were promptly introduced to our guide (Alex) who started our tour and delivery of interesting facts even as we were confirming vax cards and id and getting into the skip the line line. The entry wait not long, and once the bell rang for our turn, we cruised right in. ALEX's energy, and overall effusive friendliness to not just us, but seemingly EVERYONE he came across, made us feel like we were treasured guests in his home and we were meeting his family. He pulled a couple of fun moments where we sped through this moment and the next - efficiently getting us past the first couple of administrative headaches that had we tried it alone, would have been hopeless. Once on the tour, I can't really explain it. It was perfect. He had just the right amount of information and "dad jokes" to get all ages in our group either awe struck or chuckling (6 people, 16 youngest to 54 oldest). We ALL were hesitant about a 3 hour tour. Get stuck with a yahoo, and those 3 hours start to feel like a bad sitcom... but Alex... we really liked him. And the tour was over before we were ready. It was that good. We moved at the right pace - only getting bottlenecked with some other groups a couple of times - but definitely had moments where we felt the place was empty - so I would say that alone made the entire "be there first and skip the line" concept worth it. (One thing worth saying to the world - when you get into the chapel - no pictures, no talking - kinda felt like a 4th grade field trip with everyone in there.). Having never been before, we feel he covered more than just the bare minimum. We got the key stuff, in depth. I can't say everyone will have the same experience, but I can say this particular company - LivItaly - lived up to their promise and I would definitely book with them again. OH! One thing I forgot to mention. This was on GOOD FRIDAY. We had zero expectations that things would go perfectly... which worked in everyone's favor I expect. Regardless, would do it again. And Alex... man... if you read this... thank you. 5 out of 5.They should put the requirements of the visit (Dress code and covid specific mask requirement), even if you can google it it doesn’t take them even two lines on the confirmation.
