Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
Meet your guide near the Colosseum to begin a fun-filled 2.5 hours learning about ancient Rome.
This special tour of the ruins of ancient Rome will take you and your family through the magnificent highlights of the ancient city of Rome. Skip the lines and gain quick access to see the interior of the Colosseum, known as the most old and grandest amphitheater of the Roman Empire.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Stop At: Arco di Tito, Via Sacra 1, 00186 Rome Italy
You will learn about the full-blooded gladiators (actually slaves) that fought brave battles against one another or they’d fight ferocious animals (which were imported from all around the world to entertain the mesmerized crowd) to save their own lives. These were the best gladiators who came to Rome to put their lives on the line to fight for the ultimate prize – a chance for their freedom.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Roman Forum, Largo della Salara Vecchia 5/6, 00186 Rome Italy
After closing your gasped expressions from viewing the Colosseum you will wander over to the Roman Forum and stroll along the ancient and cobbled streets to learn about the life of the early Romans. Not only will you see the mystical ruins of the Emperor’s Palace, the Arch of Titus and ancient temples, you will gaze over important political buildings from the time of the great Roman Empire.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Basilica of Maxentius, Via Sacra 1 Clivo di Venere Felice, 00186 Rome Italy
The best thing about this tour and out of any other tours in Rome is the fact that it’s a favorite tour to entice kids into the midst of Roman history, something that is very important. The tour is fully outdoors and the itinerary and stories they’ll learn are really exciting and it’s perfectly okay if they touch things. As with any ruins there are boundaries to be respected however being outdoors is better than being inside a busy and packed boundary lined museum as there are fewer restrictions - they can explore and imagine about more interesting places.

A truly memorable, informative and fun tour which is ideal for families. Our guide Christina really made the Coliseum and forum come alive for our 9yr old. She had quizzes and games which taught us a lot about the structures themselves and the Roman society which used them. The private tour was well worth the cost and we were able to go into and around the areas without any delays. Really relaxing, informative and fun for everyone.Marco was great with the small group of kids and made for an enjoyable tour for all the families that joined.

This tour met all expectations, the sights and experience of visiting the Colosseum and Roman Forum was memorable and enjoyable for the whole family. Our guide (Simona) was knowledgeable, engaging and especially patient with our kids (6 and 8 year old active boys). We all had a wonderful time and as such can recommend this tour to other families traveling with younger kids. Would probably suggest that under 6 year olds may struggle with the duration (3 solid hours).
