What to expect
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: Corobici, 9H36+P4W, Barrio Los Ángeles, Alajuela Province, Quesada, Costa Rica
You will be picked up by a naturalist, English-speaking guide in a private vehicle at your Guanacaste Beach hotel* for a day of pure Costa Rican natural wonders. After an easy drive that takes you along the outskirts of Liberia, the capital city of Guanacaste, you will be greeted by rolling hills and wide-open spaces. You will enjoy a wonderful short hike that takes you to the pool where the wide, stunning Llanos de Cortez spills into a refreshingly large pool. You will definitely want to take photos at this gorgeous spot!
Enjoy a relaxing, beautiful Safari Float trip down the stunning and pristine Rio Corobici looking for monkeys and birds. After the river trip, enjoy a delicious, typical “Tico” lunch, served hot with a refreshing fruit drink at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the beautiful Corobici River.
From here you will continue north on the Pan American highway and into the dense, lush hills that are home to sloths, monkeys. Blue Jean dart frogs and other colorful frogs like to hang out near the river banks, and you and your guide will have ample time to search for these natural wonders, because this unspoiled area is filled with wildlife, birds and plants. You will be glad to have the naturalist guide with you since the sloths, frogs, monkeys, toucans and other animals and birds are not in cages. The guide will really make your trip! They provide fun facts, point out wildlife, teach you about plants and trees and share their enormous love of Costa Rica. See why Costa Rica is Pura Vida.
We cannot “cue” the wildlife, so there is no guarantee that you will see all the animals, birds or reptiles listed.

Saw everything we expected and more! Lots of sloths (3-toed and 2-toed), multiple species of monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas, tons of birds, a few frogs, and even some bats. Our guide, Jose Caravaca, was incredibly knowledgeable, very friendly, and highly professional. His English was excellent, which was critical since our Spanish was very limited. Also, Melissa in the Bill Beard office was very helpful and responsive you our questions leading up to the tour. Highly recommended!!!!!Rene and Cevi were wonderful tour guides. Super informative and very generous. Saw monkeys, lizards, crocodiles and many bird species on the raft. Not the time of year for sloths which is why I got this but it was still great nonetheless. The waterfall was breathtakingly awesome.

Our tour guide, Jose , was amazing. He pointed out everything in perfect English . We began with a trip to the waterfall which was beautiful , then a float down the river where we saw 5 crocodiles and many beautiful birds. It felt like a Disneyland ride ,but real! Then we had a delicious lunch , followed by a tour through the rainforest where we saw many adorable sloths, and unusual frogs, snakes, and birds too. We saw everything in a day with the most pleasant and informative guide!Wonderful guide & driver. Very knowledgeable & entertaining as well as the raft guide & rainforest sloth guide. Would do again in a heartbeat.

BEST DAY EVER! We had rented a house in Playa Hermosa but Marco gladly picked us up at the hotel of our choice at 730am. From there we drove about an hour to the beautiful waterfall...approx 50 feet. Marco provided a lot of great FYI's about Costa Rica throughout the ride and had answers to any questions that we had. He is absolutely wonderful! Once we arrived at the waterfall we took a dip in the pool at the base of the fall (can't actually go under the falling water but close enough). Stayed there for about 30 min. Marco then drove us another 35 minutes to the river where we separated from him and went with the river tour guide. We floated down the river for about 90 minutes where we saw White Face Monkeys, Howler Monkeys, bats, crocodiles, lizards & several different types of birds & trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing. It is not white water rapids lol. It is very calm. After that we were taken to a cute restaurant where we met up with Marco again and had a traditional Tico lunch (chicken, rice, beans, plantain and of course, a beer). After eating Marco drove us in to the tropical forest to Bijagua Ranas where a tour guide took us around and saw several sloths (even one up close and a mama and baby up high in the trees), frogs, snakes, toucans, butterflies. Had some delicious coffee then headed back to Playa Hermosa (about 90 min drive back). TIPS: Bring tips for the individual guides (2nd & 3rd stop) and recommend shoes for the forest part. I would highly recommend this tour as it made out trip!We had a wonderful time. We saw lots of animals. The river part was awesome!!! This was the best part of my whole vacation
