Just got back from a 4 night trip with my daughter. I really wanted to do the Grand Canyon and was so overwhelmed with the choice and advice. Bus, helicopter, west, south rim?? 🤔 Some say it's a must others said don't waste a day if you are only staying for 4 nights. Well after seeing a recommendation on facebook for Grand Adventures Tours I took the plunge and booked a sunset tour the day before we flew out. And OMG I am so glad I did and that I booked this option. Yes it's a long day but was amazing and a real bucket list experience. We were staying at The Linq so was advised to meet the minibus at Caesars Palace at 6.15am. The minibus was late which did make me anxious but the concierge was really nice and told me not to panic as they are always late to allow for those who cant get up after a night drinking 🤣 Approx 6.30am we set off, there are 6 of us in the minibus and Trayce was our tour guide. First stop was McDonalds for breakfast and then we got on the road to Hoover Dam. Whilst travelling Trayce is telling us the history of Vegas and general knowledge info as we drive through the area. The Hoover Dam was fantastic such a magnificent piece of engineering. After a photo stop we then went to a small town along route 66 which became famous through the Disney film Cars. This was a fun stop off as my son was mad on Lightning McQueen! We were now about half way to the Grand Canyon and arrived at the National Park approx 1pm I think. The time just flew and was very enjoyable. A sandwich lunch was provided as well as grapes. The South Rim was out of this world and such an experience. Trayce was a fantastic guide and took us along the rim stopping off for photos. We basically walked to different view points. He was so knowledgeable and fun. I laughed so much. We were lucky enough to see a wild Condor flying above the Canyon as well as deer and Elk in the Park. Sadly we didnt see a sunset as there was a storm on the North Rim but this didnt deter from an enjoyable day. It even snowed on us at one point which we thought was great! We were in the Park for approx 3-4 hours and left 5pm ish. With a toilet stop on route we were back at our hotel around 9.30pm. I cant recommend #grandadventurestours enough especially our tour guide Trayce. If you are wondering whether to do it or not I would say definitely! We decided to book this tour based on reviews. We decided to book this tour based on reviews. This tour was so fantastic that I'm posting on tripadvisor for the very first time. It was so worth the price. We occasionally crossed paths with tour buses and it was very obvious that we were getting a much better tour. There were 6 of us plus our fantastic tour guide Alfonso. Alfonso's knowledge of Las Vegas, Nevada, Arizona was amazing. I learned so much during the tour. We have wonderful pictures from all the places we stopped as well as the Grand Canyon thanks to Alfonso. He showed me different ways to use my iphone for capturing fantastic views of Hoover Dam, Rt. 66 and the Grand Canyon. He was constantly taking pictures of us making sure the pictures had no shadows or distractions. Unfortunately due to snow and ice on the trails we were not able to hike any trails. Alfonso made up for that by taking us to many different viewing areas for gorgeous pictures.Tour was well followed. In a short amount of time we were able to experience sunset at Grand Canyon, we did not feel rushed at all. The tour guide is kind and knowledgeable. Great experience!
