The boat was comfortable and not many other people so there was always a great view. I just couldn't get over how many whales we actually got to see (and a huge group of dolphins). I would book this tour again the next time we go to Puerto Vallarta and high recommend it.Dolphins, a sea turtle, and whales. It doesn't get better than that. We have now done this tour with Thalia and her brother twice (plus the butterfly sanctuary tour) and, they are great. They are on time, wildly competent, responsible, incredibly knowledgeable and just good, nice people. We saw a lot of whales both times, and while it was not quite the up close and personal experience this time as last (they literally swam up to the boat when we stopped a responsible and respectful distance away a couple of times, but that was during the peak whale season in late January), we viewed whales this time for almost the entire time we were out. And, this was literally the last day of the whale watching season, so we were beyond pleased. If you want to see whales here, and don't use Vallarta Natours, then it is your fault if it is not a great day. An aside, There are some tours who are not responsible and try to get as close to the whales as possible without obeying the rules. Please do not use them, as you ruin the experience for everyone. We make Vallarta Natours an annual event. In fact, we went twice this year. A thrilling and educational experience. Simply wonderful.

Thalia and Angel were amazing and so were the whales! Our tour was toward the end of the whale watching season and they still managed to find us 31 whales! They went the extra mile for sure by taking us 22 miles up the bay from the marina where we found the last group of 8 whales. This was a once in a lifetime experience. On the way back to the marina Thalia spotted a pod of approximately 500 spotted dolphins! Angel "hooked" up with the pod and away we went with dolphins on both sides of the boat. We stayed with them for a while and had to say good bye as our tour was coming to an end. We also were treated to a Manta Ray doing a jump/flip out of the water right next to the boat! This is a small boat tour--there were 9 of us plus Thalia and Angel. The most they take is 12. Thalia is a marine biologist with so much knowledge that she shares with you. They have the necessary permits and fly the correct flag for LEGAL whale watching. We are already planning our trip for next year and will be booking with them again.Thalia’s brother, Victor, did a great job in her absence - we saw a lot of whales and they do it the right way, not like some who are disrespectful of the rules. This is the second time we have been with them and it will not be the last.
