I booked this tour for my birthday and it was honestly the best birthday I've ever had from start to finish. Our tour guide Wayne picked us up and he was so friendly, funny and full of interesting information about New Zealand, he made the day that extra bit better. The drive was full of beautiful scenic views. Hobbiton is just magic, absolutely incredible the details are so cool they've really thought about it but it's not been overdone. We were one of the first tours there so we got to see it and appreciate it without the crowds. Our Hobbiton tour guide was really good she was knowledgeable and didn't rush us I'm annoyed I've forgotton her name so I could mention her. We had a buffet lunch there and it was so good I'm suprised tbh because I thought it would be some crisps and sandwiches but it was a full spread of meats, salad, pasta, potatoes and lots of desserts and tasted lovely. On our return we went to the Waitomo caves which were unbelievable. Hobbiton was definitely one of the best highlights of the holiday I can't wait to go back. Thank you Bush & Beach for organising such an awesome trip and thanks Wayne for the laughs and memories.Hobbiton was amazing for the Tolkien fan. A full sized Shire with 42 Hobbit holes including Bags End and the Green Dragon! The Waitomo Cave & glow worm experience was super cool. It's a one-of-a-kind adventure that you'll talk about long after.

Lunch was phenomenal – we had plenty of gluten free and vegan choices! The cave glow worm tour also was captivating. A great day!

I’m glad I added the trip to the Waitomo caves too. The boat trip around the cave was a highlight and helps you appreciate the beauty in the world that living in a big city (London) you often miss. The organisation for the trips was great. We had two drivers but both were very informative and great hosts. My wife and I took the Hobbiton/Waitomo Caves tour, leaving from our hotel in Auckland promptly at 6:45 a.m. For the next 11 hours we had the best tour experience we've ever had! My wife and I took the Hobbiton/Waitomo Caves tour, leaving from our hotel in Auckland promptly at 6:45 a.m. For the next 11 hours we had the best tour experience we've ever had! Our guide/driver Wayne is someone who was born to do this job! His stories, jokes, insights, observations, and general chatter kept us in stitches throughout the day. The destinations were amazing, the van was comfortable, the food was great at Hobbiton and the rest stops, and the countryside scenery beautiful. We would recommend this tour highly, and we would like to thank Wayne again for making this such a memorable day, from start to finish!Hobbiton and Waitomo caves are must-see in NZ and there are many companies bringing people there. But our guide was especially good as he shared a lot of information about those places we visited and about NZ's history, plus he was a very nice person!
