I highly recommend this tour! From visiting the distilleries, the tastings, delicious lunch, visiting Tequila city center and learning so many new things, I can't decide on my favorite part of the day. Our tour guide Odett made the trip that much more special. She was very knowledgeable about tequila/agave and provided us with a thorough explanation of the entire process. This was such a memorable tour and I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Tequila! We had a terrific time on this tour and would recommend it to all our friends! We had a terrific time on this tour and would recommend it to all our friends! Our guide Melissa was knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly insisted that we all try every sample of tequila. We learned a ton about tequila and got to visit two smaller distilleries followed by a delicious traditional lunch and free time to wander the town. We did the group tour and there were only 4 of us so we had more time to enjoy the drinks and ask questions at our own pace. Even if you don’t consider yourself a tequila fan, you should give this a shot! You will learn how to enjoy tequila like an expert. Our first visit to Tequila could not have been better! Odette is amazingly personal, accommodating, knowledgeable, fun and professional. Avoiding crowded tour groups was the best decision we could’ve made. Thank you so much for this great experience Odette, you are awesome!!

Lizbeth, Fernando and Edgar were excellent hosts on this tour! Liz was super nice and patient in explaining the different forms of tequila and how each one was developed, from blanco to extra anejo. My group really appreciated being able to ask her questions throughout the tour in English and the quality of her answers. The tours to both distilleries gave us a nice range of drinks to sample from. I felt the first distillery in Cava de oro had more quality as we each sat down in one of their barrel rooms to sample a glass of each tequila and were able to discuss each one thoroughly. The difference is understandable though, since the second distillery tour had us sample something like 8-12 different bottles and most of us wouldn't have been able to reach the bus if we had a full portion of each sample. The second distillery definitely gave us variety, and both distilleries had delectable choices in their selections and samples. I suppose I just enjoyed sitting down in a secluded room in the first distillery compared to the open sunny table in the courtyard of the second distillery. Both tours were lovely and let us compare the different equipment and processing between the two distilleries. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. We took a private tour with Melissa A. We took a private tour with Melissa A. She was knowledgeable, fun, relaxed and informative. We were SO glad we took this tour. Went to some less commercial distilleries and bought some fun souvenirs 😍. Additionally booking the tour via email and phone was straightforward and the booking manager called me back sooner than promised and generally followed through which isn’t always the case. Would highly recommend this company.I did a lot of research about different tour options and based on the reviews of this company I was very excited about the tour. Our tour was on a Sunday. I did a lot of research about different tour options and based on the reviews of this company I was very excited about the tour. Our tour was on a Sunday. We were supposed to be pick up at 10 am but Mickey called me at 10:10 am to ask for my location and if I could explain where I was to our tour guide, Melissa. As we were staying in a airbnb within a residential area that had two opposite entrances, they couldn't arrived to the specific address I gave them. So I understand that we should have probably specified a pick up point, however once Melissa arrived she said that she had been trying to called me several times; even though I didn't get any phone call from Melissa and I was also able to get in touch with Mickey. After this, we could hear Melissa and the driver talking about how difficult was for them to locate the addresses of the other people that were coming with us on the tour, and that they needed a GPS which they didn't have. We pick up the next person and we could clearly hear that Melissa said to the next person that they were late because my group of 5 people was late which was not true. When trying to pick up the final members of the tour they took 20 mins to locate the right place, which shows that they don't have a clear idea of where to pick up people. Melissa was constantly calling Mickey in order to know the next address to pick up people and saying that the driver should know how to move in the city. I found it very disrespectful that Melissa was blaming my group of 5 people being late with the rest of the members of the tour. Just because we speak Spanish doesn't mean that we couldn't understand what she said in English. Since I got a call from Mickey I am sure my phone was working With all the time lost trying to pick up people the driver drove very fast trying to recover time. If you were travelling at the back of the van you would be jumping all over the place. The first distillery was Cava de Oro, and I was not sure what to expect. I thought that someone from the distillery itself would give us a welcoming. But that didn't happen, and it was only Melissa that explained everything. The tequila in this distillery was really good but I am a little disappointed about the attention that the owners of the distillery gave to the customer. They basically only show up at the time to charge for the tequila you want to buy. The lunch was in a "okay" place, the food was average. They make sure to give you as much as you want, but there could better options of food. After lunch they said that we were heading to a different distillery and that they didn't want to take us to a commercial one. However, by the time we arrived to the second distillery it was closed. This tells you a lot about the planning of the tour because they didn't have any idea that this place was closed. Finally they took us precisely to the commercial distillery that they said they didn't want us to go. Because it was already late, the tour in the second distillery was in a rush. We were basically passing other groups of people that were before of us. The distillery was Tres Mujeres and the tequila was bad. No one from the tour bought tequila, while in the first distillery the total group bought 6 bottles. Finally they take you to the town of Tequila where by the time we arrived all the museums were closed. They left you there for about 40 mins. It would have been better to have more time and that they point out more interesting places to go. In general I was disappointed about the tour since most of it felt rushed. Melissa did a good effort in the first distillery, but in the second one you could tell that at that point she didn't care that much. I requested that they explained things in Spanish since I was travelling with my mum of 53 years (who only spoke Spanish), 3 Mexicans and 1 Australian. The rest of the group was 2 Canadians and 1 American. Since the rest of the people spoke English Melissa sometimes forgot to explain things in Spanish which I had to translate. The tour is overpriced for what you get, I was expecting a better quality in the explanations that Melissa gave. And especially I was expecting a well planned tour in terms of times, since they have already done this several times you would expect that they already know one or two things. If you don't have any idea about tequila, you don't care where you go and don't want to think too much about the tour, you should take this tour. But if you want something well planned with good quality information, skip this tour.
