What to expect
All ingredients and supplies, an apron and a towel will be provided for you. Your class will be a small group (limited to a maximum of 8 people), so you will never be a bystander.
Wagyu is a world-famous word nowadays. “Wa” means Japan(ese), and “Gyu” means beef.
During this class, you will make use of various methods to complete your full-course lunch, from appetizers to dessert. The instructors are all friendly, English-speaking locals who are happy to assist you. They will share some tips and stories of each recipe and sometimes share some secret techniques, too. This cooking class will give you a homey atmosphere to cook in.
As Japanese always start with “Dashi”-making, each class will begin with the making of "Dashi, " the fundamental soup stock of Japanese cooking. Your instructor will also explain about some of the typical Japanese seasonings which are frequently used.
Then, you will prepare 7 dishes learning classic and modern recipes, ways to present food, elaborate cuttings and unique Japanese ingredients. As a main dish, you cook some beautiful, tender Wagyu beef.
After all of the cooking is finished, finally, it will be time to say 'Itadakimasu!'

This class was such an excellent way to really throw ourselves into Japanese culture and cuisine in a really fun way. The class was well timed and planned out, lots of hands-on involvement throughout, as well as included some little bits of information about culture and cooking techniques. Our group was 3 people total, took us a little over an hour and a half to cook everything (and much less to eat it!) Overall the experience was relaxed and fun, and is something I would highly recommend to anybody looking into doing a cooking class here. We selected this specific one for the variety offered, and it absolutely did not disappoint! The place is not to easy to find but the people are really nice and the food you prepare absolute delicious.

The food was delicious - especially the Wagyu - and we just had a great time all around. Will definitely recommend this class to friends who come to Tokyo and will do another class on my next trip!Friendly staff with hands on cooking. The materials are well written by someone fluent in english. I higly recommend this class is you want to go home and cook Japanese. Limit 8 per class and a small upcharge for sake with dinner. We did take another cooking class in Tokyo but this was the best.
