1-day snowshoeing adventure from Bansko to Mount Bezbog in Pirin National Park. The high Pirin Mountains will leave you breathless with its rugged peaks and frozen beauty. You will experience an active day outdoors with a lot of fun and spectacular panoramas.

What to expect
Itinerary
Ascent of Mount Bezbog in Pirin Mountains on snowshoes – this tour starts from a relatively high altitude – 2240 m – at the top lift station of the Bezbog chair lift, 45 min drive from Bansko. It it the most easily accesible point to experience the feeling of being in the high parts of Pirin, surrounded by its jagged peaks and ridges.
The ascent takes about 2 hours, while we gain +400 m of vertical elevation. The route is suitable for novices in snowshoeing and doable even if the snow conditions in the lower parts of the mountains are not good, but is potentially more exposed to harsh weather due to the high altitude. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular and include all the Pirin Mountains, as well as much of Rila and Rhodope Mountains.

We had a wonderful day snowshoeing thanks to our guide Lyuben! He and Dimiter were very helpful via email letting us know what to bring and answering our questions, and choosing the best destination for the weather and snow conditions. Lyuben picked us up from our hotel in Bansko and took us to the ski lift at bezbog. We had never snowshoed before but he explained everything and we felt confident :-) We spent the day snowshoeing to see beautiful views off the beaten track- it was sunny with excellent visibility and very peaceful - far away from the skiers. We went at a relatively slow pace and took breaks to take photos and rest -Lyuben was very patient! He was also very flexible and let us choose among a few options during the day. Bansko was cloudy but we had a beautiful sunny day in the mountains. Highly recommended!!!!661borisp

We were traveling as a group of four to Bansko with the intention of skiing. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side so we started looking for other fun outdoor activities around Bansko. Snowshoeing seemed like an obvious choice and the experience has been incredibly rewarding and fun. ...
We were traveling as a group of four to Bansko with the intention of skiing. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side so we started looking for other fun outdoor activities around Bansko. Snowshoeing seemed like an obvious choice and the experience has been incredibly rewarding and fun. From the first contact on Alex from Bulguides has been a professional through and through and its clear that being a mountain guide is not only a profession but also a passion. His calm and reassuring personality gave the group the confidence for the steeper parts of the ascend to bezbog peak. He is fluent in english and showed a great feel for when to engage in conversation and when to silently lead and let the group to themselves. I am convinced that he is able to lead a diverse set of people of all skill levels to the peak. You dont have to be in great shape, see Fotos for reference 😅. A little determination is all it takes. For us it has been a great bonding experience and I think whether you travel as a group of friends, a couple or maybe as teambuilding for a company you wil have a great time with stunning views and an alpine feel around Bansko. I will be a returning customer and already look forward to the next adventure.Hannelore_ffm
