What to expect
We will start our journey in Downtown Santa Rosa beside the paved nature trail. As we venture on the trail, take a gander at the artistic murals, mosaic tiles, and cobblestone walls that we leisurely cycle through. We will bike alongside the relaxing sounds of Santa Rosa Creek as you view the beautiful scenery of vineyards, redwood trees, farm animals, and more! As we stop at 2 to 3 award-winning family-owned and operated wineries, you will enjoy the unique styles of wines at each one. Sit in the vineyards and enjoy the views as the friendly winery team pours these delicious wines and gives you some interesting history. Also, they may even give us a winery tour! Pack a light lunch to bring with you and enjoy eating at any winery we visit as they all have outdoor seating. Cycling back downtown is always amusing as we talk about the fun & adventurous day! Distance is approximately 8 miles each way to 12 miles round trip at the end of the day.

We went to 3 unique wineries with very different experiences. Frieda did a great job sharing info, ensuring we were taken care of and made it very casual! This was an absolutely fabulous experience! Our guide was there early, with fabulous, comfortable, really nice bikes. The were already set out and ready to go, with water in a luggage pack set up for us to bring home, up to 3 bottles of wine each, and a front pack for our personal belongings. The guide was interesting and took us along a beautiful path with some very interesting sites/surprises. The bike riding itself was peaceful, safe, fairly flat and a great pace. We visited two wineries that were completely different with their tasting set-up and vibe. The guide knew the staff and they all really seemed fond of our guide. On the way home, we returned on the same path - really nice to revisit certain areas for photos. We had a fabulous day, great wine, some exercise and will definitely be back with Ace. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for an enjoyable (and beautiful) bike ride to gorgeous winery's. Freida is the absolute best tour guide - super knowledgeable and very fun to be around (she's the owner of the company and does tours here and there). The winery's we went to were amazing, both in wine and atmosphere. You won't regret it if you decide to do this!This was the most fun we've had in years! Bikes were perfect for the terrain and the route was pretty easy. And the views of Bodega Harbor and Bay were stunning! The hike was even better - ocean and bay views all around. After mulling over a few of the bike tours available in Sonoma, we settled on Ace it and met Jackie our tour guide. It turned out that we were the only people on that particular day and it was one of the best days of our two week trip in California. We cycled through lovely quiet paths next to Santa Rosa creek and then through vineyards. The fact that the wine experiences are included or 2 for 1 is a real perk. We did tasting at two wineries and greatly enjoyed both and brought a few back to the UK with us! Jackie was a superb tour guide; very knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and was in tune to what we would like to hear about/see and the pace of cycling.
