The tour was fantastic! Thanks to the friendly, funny, and knowledgeable guide Anton (also the owner of the company Back to Iceland), it turned out to become one of the most beautiful days in my life. The sights were really out of this world - the closest one has to visiting another planet. Especially the Diamond beach (with boat ride included!) and Reynisfjara beach (the only tour that actualy includes it in this kind of sightseeing package - it's usually part of another tour). Anton made sure we had a cosy family-like atmosphere whole day long. He even extended the tour for a couple of hours to accomodate our wishes to see some other sights on the way (it alowed us to see the Puffin colony, drank 1000 year old glacier water, the amazing view of Reynisfjara beach...). Minibus was also a grat option compared to larger tour buses. The other companies fade to camparison with this one. If we knew that beforehand we'd book all other tours with Back to Iceland.Had a great trip around the south coast and we enjoyed all of the stops. Our guide Anton was excellent providing interesting and fun facts throughout. Would highly recommend!

Excellent full day tour with Anton. Totally recommended. This tour is around 15 hrs long (7-22 hrs) and covers seljalandfoss and skogafoss waterfalls, reynisfjara black sand beach and jokulsarlon glacier lagoon (including amphibious boat ride), as main attractions. However, it is quite a long drive from Reykjavik and the whole way is beutiful. We passed through lava fields, amazing mountains, rivers, farms, Icelandic horses, lots of sheep, etc. We were just two people in our tour because some others cancelled at last minute, but Anton carried on with the tour anyway (so it was a really private tour) and made us feel very comfortable. He is both a great driver and a great guide. He knows the routes better than anyone else and knows the perfect timing to arrive to every place before the other buses. He was always very enthusiastic, talkative and providing us interesting information about Iceland. He was also very flexible. As we were very punctual during the day, we saved some time, so he included some extra stops in the way. The extra stop in Dyrholaey was the cherry on the cake. We got an amazing view of black sand beach and, if you are lucky, you may see the puffins! The South Coast and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Tour with Back to Iceland Travel was my favorite day trip when I visited Iceland in June 2021. The South Coast and Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Tour with Back to Iceland Travel was my favorite day trip when I visited Iceland in June 2021. I was amazed by all the beauty I saw on this trip. The waterfalls, black sand beaches, diamond beach, and the glacier lagoon were all stunning. I loved the glacier lagoon boat ride. How amazing to be floating among the icebergs. And the tour guides were fabulous. They were friendly, informative, and flexible. This tour is a “must do” when in Iceland. We had such a wonderful trip with Anton and his wife as our tour guides! I would rate Anton and the BTI team 6+ stars for the best customer service and a wonderful excursion to the South Coast. There are many choices of these tours, but BTI had the most personal service from beginning to end! This was the best option: you see both big waterfalls, the black beaches, the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach …and you can book the Amphibian boat on the glacier lagoon. Do it! It’s well worth it! We even saw a seal hunting for its lunch. This is a long tour and well worth it: Anton is so very friendly and caring, he makes sure you are on time, you miss out the big crowds, you get plenty of time at each site. He even stops if you ask for extra photos and sites! He provides plenty of opportunities for breaks — in fact it was like having a private tour! He has great knowledge, fascinating stories and information about the area and Iceland. He speaks several languages very well. Our tour was expertly done in English. Couple of points to note: pick up is early (miss the crowds at popular destinations). The minivan is spotlessly clean, luxury and very comfortable with working Wi-fi and USB charging at every seat. Take shoes with good grip, small water bottle to refill, a hat, gloves and rain coat is recommended for the beach and boat. Book early and directly with Back To Iceland for best rates — his tours sell out fast so book early — I booked day before but was just lucky. Highly recommended.
