We had heard about Flavors of Bogota Coffee Tour through word of mouth, and with our very first visitors coming to Bogota, we thought we’d give it a try. Karen, and her assistant/husband, Peter, did not disappoint. We visited several local specialty coffee shops (which we would have never even noticed before), all of which were complete with outdoor seating to provide excellent bio-security measure in this post pandemic world. Our small group was comfortable the entire time as we learned about what makes coffee such a interesting and tasty experience. I didn’t know a lot about the different factors that make up a specially cup of coffee, so this tour was eye opening. We had coffee prepared by some of the best baristas in Bogotá and we were able to watch coffee being roasted by an award winning coffee roaster. A great experience for anyone looking to learn more about what makes the coffee world go round with great coffee shop locations in Bogota’s Chapinero district. Karen is clearly very knowledgeable and an expert in this field. Great time and highly recommendWe met Melissa at the Liberato coffee roasters coffee shop where she started our journey into Columbia specialty coffee tour. We met Melissa at the Liberato coffee roasters coffee shop where she started our journey into Columbia specialty coffee tour. She is very knowledgeable and an interesting and fun guide. We learned of different plantation areas, different ways to drink and appreciate coffee and how to taste and recognize sub-flavors in the coffee. We visited a few coffee shops, all within walking distance and each one of them was different. Different atmosphere, different coffee. It was fun, full of interesting stories all tied to Colombia. This group, flavors of Columbia , seem very passionate about the coffee world and Melissa represented that well. It was an excellent excellent tour . If you love coffee or just curious - do not miss it. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia.Great, well rounded tour. I learned a lot about coffee and the process. Daniella was informative and spoke great English. Thanks!
