My husband and I booked a tour with David to experience the Speyside Whisky. This was the highlight of our trip to Scotland and Inverness. David customised the day to fit in 4 amazing boutique distilleries at our request and this tour was so much more than we expected. We learnt a lot about the region and the history of the whisky distillery processes. The drive was super comfortable and we saw some of the most beautiful landscapes and little town during our tour David had so much local knowledge of the area and highlighted all the points of interest along the way. We stopped in a beautiful quaint town to grab some lunch along the way (a perfect suggestion by David) and it was divine. We could have opted for the pub lunch option but wanted to keep it short and sweet as to make the most of the enjoyable time we were having on the tour. David selected 4 great distilleries for us to fit in our time and each one was unique. Loved the day so much. David was so friendly and flexible and I would highly recommend not only for the Whiskey tour but any other tour for a personal guide in Scotland. Thanks so much David. We had the best time ever and will definitely be booking with you again next time we are back in Scotland. Absolute great value for money if you want a unique experience with a highly professional guide..We had booked with David on Oct 13th and had a wonderful day! We had booked with David on Oct 13th and had a wonderful day! We did a tour at Glen Moray and visited/did tastings at Benromach, Cardhu, Ballindalloch, GlenAllachie, and Glenlivet. David was really helpful in recommending smaller distilleries to check out and had a lot of knowledge to share. We had pre-arranged Glen Moray and wanted to visit Glenlivet but we were otherwise flexible. David even took us to see some highland cattle near Cardhu and had carrots to feed them! I would definitely recommend booking with David to friends or family or any couples or small groups wanting a unique experience, it was totally worth it and a highlight of our trip! Thanks David!David is the best. We we’re lucky he had an open spot. Was waiting for us promptly at our hotel to start the day at 9. David is the best. We we’re lucky he had an open spot. Was waiting for us promptly at our hotel to start the day at 9. Immaculate car and he is a truly nice person with vast knowledge on many subjects. Communication beforehand was easy and very responsive. He arranged for a tour at a small local distillery, Speyburn and it was the perfect introduction to whiskey for both of us. We were able to go to two more on our list, Glen Livet and Glen Fiddich and stopped for lunch at a great little spot for some soup and sandwiches. Daryl and I had the perfect day and you would be lucky to get a booking with him.Our group of three went out with David, who was extraordinary. Our group of three went out with David, who was extraordinary. Our original plan needed adjustment because of a festival in Speyside, but David helped us chart a new course with great results. We visited four distilleries, including a tour we'd organized ahead, and also stopped for a castle ruin that David told us about (and tea). We also found lunch along the way. David was very flexible and full of helpful suggestions. Besides the whisky, David was excellent company and a lot of fun to talk to over the course of nearly 9 hours. You'll have an excellent day out - don't hesitate!David provided us with a perfect driving tour around Inverness and to the Isle of Skye over a three day period. David provided us with a perfect driving tour around Inverness and to the Isle of Skye over a three day period. He was very knowledgeable of the Highlands and brought us to distilleries, castles, beautiful vistas, quant villages and hiking spots. He recommended restaurants and hotels that were fabulous. He took care of everything including booking our ferry tickets to cross over to Skye. Our experience in Scotland was top notch because we hired David to take us around. He customized the route we took and showed us the real beauty of the highland culture and landscape. I highly recommend Scenic Routes for your trip to Scotland.
