City of Srebrenica is located around two and half hours from the city of Sarajevo. Road takes us through desolate mountainous area with beautiful nature of Eastern Bosnia. While You are able to enjoy scenery we will start our presentation with detailed stories, carefully selected so You are able to understand a complex matter of "The Fall of Yugoslavia" which is crucial for Your understanding of Srebrenica genocide.
Our first stop is in front of battery factory, used by UN forces during the war in Bosnia. In previous headquarters of the Dutch battalion is now located one of the most modern museums in Bosnia and Herzegovina, “Museum of Srebrenica Genocide”. There we will be meeting the curator and experience first-hand story about the survival in Srebrenica enclave. Museum is equipped with multimedia facilities with selection of movies, that will help You understand events that led to the worst atrocity in Europe since World War II.
From Museum of Srebrenica Genocide, we continue to Memorial room, where You will be able to hear the stories of the victims which were made by a local journalist. Part of the Memorial room is also dedicated to the people responsible for the massacre.
Victims that were found and identified are resting at Memorial cemetery. Now the cemetery counts 6575 victims, but that number rises every year.
Once we visited Potocari Memorial Centre, we continue our journey to the city of Srebrenica. Once the industrial leader in the area, and one of the oldest settlements of people is now a ghost city. Srebrenica is also the location for the lunch, as there are not a lot of restaurants nearby.

By car and with a tour-guide this trip is the best way for exploring the site of potocari and the city of srebrenica itself. No chance by taxi or by regular bus. Too expensive and lasting to many hours. The museum in potocari shows a neutral apperance. No darkened rooms, negative music or red painted walls. You can watch and feel the informations in a pure way. Tour-guide Mirza was polite and kindful. Not talking any minute. He was asking questions and giving informations to special places along the road and landscape itself. We were just two guest with the guide in April 2022. That risens the price per person - but that was more pleasant to me in the end. More quiet in the car. Less chance of problem-guests in the car.Adi was the best guide we’ve ever had. Adi was the best guide we’ve ever had. Communication with him was easy and he was extremely accommodating. We can definitely recommend this tour if you’re looking to learn about the whole picture. Adi started with a history lesson at the very beginning of Bosnia’s history to put what eventually happened in the 90s in the right context. His story telling was very engaging and easy to understand. In the museum he let us browse on our own so we didn’t feel rushed and as a result of that we came back late, but he didn’t mind at all, because he’s just an overall wonderful person. It was exactly what we had hoped for and more. You really have to see this once. You really have to see this once. The guide gives a lot of information, which is very valuable to finally be able to understand what happened in Srebrenica. Very professional, nice and respectful guide. There is room for everyone's opinion. I’m Bosnian (living in the Netherlands) and I know that the war can be a sensitive subject, but the guide gave us a very good experience. We also were warmly welcomed by a lovely woman who took care of our lunch. I traveled alone but felt very safe. The guide picked us up and brought us back safely as well. I definitely recommend going with this organization.I had two perfect days with my guide Ibrahim, I can really recommend a tour with him. I had two perfect days with my guide Ibrahim, I can really recommend a tour with him. He knows everything about the different places we have visited together. He is very friendly, attentive and open to all questions about life in Bosnia. His English is excellent. The Srebrenica Massacre Study Tour is very special and I will think about it for a long time. I would recommend this place to any Bosnia traveler. Especially with a good tour guide by your side, you can learn a lot about this place and the entire history of Bosnia. With a serious visit you can show your respect to the people of Bosnia. The day tour to Jajce and Travnik was great. It was interesting to visit the medieval forts, buildings, mosques and learn more about them. During the tour you have spectacular views, great landscapes and above all, the impressive waterfall in Jajce. Hint: Try the Ćevapi in Travnik, Ibrahim knows a great restaurant there. The meal was delicious. I can really recommend the tours with "Info Bosnia Tours" to everyone. Every single tour was great and it gave me the opportunity to make very special memories in Bosnia. Before the tour i was contacted and informed very good from the office. Before the tour i was contacted and informed very good from the office. But also after the tour, they asked me if i liked it. The tour started with a pickup from our driver and and the same time touroperator Ömer. We where brought first to the Srebrenica genocide memorial. On our way too the memorial museum Ömer told us the start from the history of Bosnia and later on to the war. It was told very good so you get a clear vision on how and why it did happen. Ömer can tell this story very good and strong because he is well informed and speaks perfect english. Not only that, Ömer can tell it with great passion because he is a proud bosnian. Also he saw the war himself as a child in Sarajevo, so he can tell it with lots of emotions. He is also open for quistions, even if they are offensive. And as last Ömer is a very funny, friendly, sharing and helpfull guy. Special thanks to Ömer. After the Genocide Memorial we went to the Srebrenica memorial museum. The Genocide memorial is very touching to be there. Same as the memorial museum wich is perfectly made because it starts from the begin, during and aftermath of the war. For both these visits, we get enough time to look around. After the memorials we went to a Bosnian family wich has returned too Srebenica after te war. First we get a great homemade Bosnian lunch wich was delicious. After the lunch the woman of the family told her story. This story was very emotional and strong. She showed whats she stands for and it was all love and no hatred at all. After this we went to visit the city Srebrenica it self wich is almost a ghosttown. In the end, this tour was very special for me to end my 1 week long Bosnia journey. Where i met lots of beautiful open en heartfull people. And saw a lots of beautiful sights. Thank you for this tour everyone and thank you Bosnia.Adnan was my guide for this tour. Adnan was my guide for this tour. He did a fantastic job, and was extremely knowledgeable, and was able to share with us his personal experience with the conflict, which was invaluable. He is a wealth of knowledge not only on the conflict, but on Bosnian history in general. We also had a lovely lunch with a local woman, who spoke to us about her own past in Srbrenica. This was certainly a highlight of the trip. I would recommend this trip highly. It was one of the highlights of my trip to the Balkans.
