Stop At: Bath, Bath, Somerset, England

Standing proudly on the slopes of the River Avon, beautiful Bath was the first city in England to be a designated UNESCO World Heritage site in its entirety. Duration: 1 hour

Pass By: Royal Crescent, Royal Cresent, Bath BA1 1EE England

The Royal Crescent is a series of 30 terraced buildings in Bath, England, built out in a sweeping crescent.
It is a Grade I listed structure that was designed by architect John Wood, the Younger and erected between 1767 and 1774. It is one of the best examples of Georgian architecture in the UK.
Although the numerous interiors have seen significant changes throughout the years, the Georgian stone exterior has remained largely unchanged since its construction.
The 500-foot-long crescent features 114 Ionic columns on the first floor and a Palladian-style entablature above.
With its views over the parkland opposite, it was the first crescent of terraced dwellings to be built and an example of "rus in urbe."
Since it was created over 240 years ago, many noteworthy people have lived or stayed in the Royal Crescent, and some are honoured on unique plaques affixed to the respective buildings.

Stonehenge and Bath were lovely countryside contrasts to the activities in London. Guide Danixia was very intelligent , approachable and kind. She has great commmand of the countryside areas and of greater London. The tour lasted until 7pm which still allowed time for the theatre in the evening.

Tour guide Bruce was funny and helpful. Driver Armondo was good. Probably best was the comedic way the guide would explain things.

Good info from guide. He was personable and interesting. Driver did a good job as well. It was cold day and we were disappointed we couldn’t bring a warm beverage on bud.
