Uzbekistan - a rich and fascinating world of oriental fairytales in the deserts, blooming oases and mountains. The twelve-day cultural tour to Uzbekistan includes city tours in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. From Samarkand, with its huge palaces and mosques, across the ancient Silk Road to Bukhara, where life has barely changed over the centuries, cultural highlights are in Uzbekistan. Not only do these cities have impressive medieval architecture, they are as rich in traditions and customs as they are in bringing you closer to the hospitable Uzbek culture. Day 1: Day 1 Welcome to Tashkent flight to Tashkent.

Flight to Tashkent. Upon arrival, our local guide greets you and brings you to the hotel. (2 nights in the hotel "City Palace" or equivalent).

Day 2: Day 2 Tashkent and professional program

Stop At: Tashkentland, Amira Temura St., 107, Tashkent Uzbekistan
(Travel by bus from one "sightseeing object" to another)
Morning city tour with visit to the old town, the famous Khast Imam square and the bazaar. In the afternoon the professional program takes place. For details, see. Please quote the travel advertisement. Travelers who are not interested in the program can discover Tashkent on their own, where it is especially beautiful, your tour guide knows.

Day 3: Samarkand

Stop At: Tashkent Street in Samarkand, Between Registan Square and Siab Market, Samarkand 140164 Uzbekistan

(Bus ride from the hotel to Tashkent railway station about 15 minutes, from Samarkand railway station by bus from one "sightseeing object" to another)
The high-speed train "Afrosiab" will take you from Tashkent to Samarkand in just 2.5 hours. Here you will visit the many magnificent monuments of Samarkand: Registan Square with the Ulres-Bek, Sher-Dor and Tillja-Kari Medias, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Shah-i-Sinda City of the Dead, Gur-Emir Mausoleum. Later you stroll over the bazaar. In the evening you drive to a family and prepare together typical Uzbek food. Optional: If time permits, visit the Samarkand History Museum "Afrosiab" located on the hill Afrosiab, where archaeologists explored the origins of the city of Samarkand. (Overnight in Asia Samarkand - or equivalent).

Day 4: Day 4 Samarkand - Bukhara (via the city of Navoi, about 280 km / 5 hours)

The Mongol ruler Timur made Samarkand the capital of his empire. You will visit the Ulug Bek Observatory. Then continue on the historical Silk Road to Bukhara.

Day 5: Day 5 Bukhara (in the old town almost everything is within walking distance)

The city of Bukhara committed an official 2500th anniversary in 1997. Your detailed visit begins in the citadel Ark. Then you will discover the landmark of the city, the minaret Kalan, the mosque of the same name and the adjoining medrese Mir-e Arab. Richly decorated, the mausoleum of Ismail Samani welcomes you in the afternoon. The day concludes with an atmospheric folklore show in the Madras Nadir-Diwan-Begi.

Day 6: ag 6 Bukhara - Khiva (460 km / approx 8 hrs drive, stopping 3-4 times on the way)

Steppes line your way to Khiva. Stop by a tearoom. Steaming green tea and grilled treats provide you with new energy. Then we continue along the desert route, with some luck you can see wild camels. Arrival in Khiva in the afternoon. (2 nights in Khiva in Hotel Asia Khiva)

Day 7: Day 7 Oasis city Khiva

(Almost everything in the old town is within walking distance, dinner probably outside the fortress) The city is located in the middle of the desert in the oasis of Choresm and was from the end of the 16th century to 1920
Capital of the eponymous khanate. The monuments of Ichan-Kala, the central and oldest
Part of the city, they form a closed complex and resemble an open-air museum of Islamic architecture. After detailed sightseeing (Kunja-Ark Fortress, Pachlavan-Machmud complex,

Day 8: Day 8 Khiva - Ayaz Kala (about 150 km / 2, 15 hrs)

In the morning, take a trip to the yurt camp Ayaz Kala, about 100 km north of Khiva. Here you can feel the zeitgeist of past civilizations up close. In the Kysylkum desert, huge ruins once rise up from the largest fortresses of the old choir - Ajas Kala. According to archaeological excavations, fortress Ajas-Kala dates from the second century BC. Ch. Folk tales combine the fortress name with the warrior and slave Ajas - the hero of Central Asian folklore. According to legend, the almost mythical Recke sought the love of the royal Amazon, who lived in the fortress. At Yurten Camp Ajas Kala you can ride camels. (Optional). Overnight in Yurts.

Day 9: Day 9 Ayaz Kala - Urgench - Tashkent

10 Tashkent - Kokand - Rishtan - Fergana
Tashkent - Kokand approx. 240 km./ approx. 4.5 hours over the mountain pass, Kokand - Rischtan approx. 42 km./ approx. 30 min, Rischtan - Fergana approx. 55 km./ca. 1 H.)

Guests who have booked our extension drive in the morning towards Fergana, to Kokand.
Kokand is located in the largest and most densely populated oasis of Central Asia, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of Tashkent - in the Fergana Valley. Mountain landscapes and numerous fruit and vegetable plantations, rows of mulberry trees and wide cotton fields await you in the Fergana Valley. In the first half of the 19th century Kokand was an important trading center and with more than 300 mosques the religious center of the Fergana Valley. Today it is the main traffic hub of this region. You will visit the Khudajar Khan Palace of Kokand. The building is one of the last major buildings of Islamic architecture in Central Asia in the 19th century. Further afield, you will reach the largest mosque in Kokand, the Juma Mosque. Then continue to Rischtan. Rischtan was and has been famous for several centuries for its pottery. You will visit one of the most famous ceramic workshops of a hereditary master. Characteristic of the handicraft produced in Rischtan is the tableware with geometric arabesques, plant motifs and depictions of animals and humans. In the workshop you will learn from the Usto (master) details about the manufacture and decoration of ceramics. Fergana.

Day 11: Day 11 Fergana - Margilan - Tashkent

Stop At: Yodgorlik Silk Factory, Imam Zakhriddin St., Margilan Uzbekistan

After breakfast, visit a private farm. Some varieties of fruit trees start to bloom at the end of February. The staff will also show you a poultry factory. Continue to Margilan. Legend has it that the city was founded by Alexander the Great. The city was famous mainly for the silk fabrics made here, which were delivered to Egypt and Greece. Even today Margilan is known as the silk capital of Uzbekistan. How the material is obtained, you will learn during the visit of a factory in Margilan.
