One of the highlights of our trip. Whilst it isn't a cheap tour, the experience significantly exceeded our expectations. The opportunity to see these guys up close to see and hear the raw power is something completely unique. Our guide (Yoko) spoke exceptionally good English and provided thoughtful and clear explanations of the history, traditions and techniques involved in sumo. The opportunity to meet some of the wrestlers after training for pictures and a Q&A was also a fantastic experience.Amazing experience for anyone interested in Sumo wrestling. I had already been to a tournament, but experiencing the training was a completely different and special opportunity. Yukio was a wonder tour guide - knowledgeable, fun and interesting.
